They're 2 lists sorted for different purposes. Reading the sequence list isn't as efficient as the categorized list if you're looking to see whether a game was colored, and almost worthless if you're trying to see what games are left to be colored. Conversely, the category list doesn't specifically enumerate how many games have been done, and doesn't at all speak to the pacing of completion like the sequence list.

It is not just Transformers. Those are all the ones that were removed off the to-do list in 2017

Both lists are very helpful in different ways.
One makes it easy to took up a game you own to see if hasn't been done yet.
The other list makes it easy to see when various game were colorized.
(It would be even more helpful if someone would colorize WHOdunnit.)

Eric has really been knocking out the Williams/Bally games this year. I would not be surprised if the remaining ones are all done in the next year or slightly longer. We already know that WCS is about done.

Just wanted to post how much we are loving our STLE with the ColorDMD. We bought one for our Met Prem a year ago and couldn't wait for ST to get one too. Now how about Kiss and GB?

Haha..if a game is NOT on the "sequence list" it is left to be colored. Pretty simple. Conversely, category list is not needed as the op's list does the same thing. And it helps to "enumerate how many games have been done" haha, you mean COUNT ? seriously, who talks like that? Ahhh pinside!

If laymen translations are needed, enumerate would = list, not count. Sorry my word was too big. I...try...keep...things...simple.

I suppose you think the "sort by" options in Excel are frivolous (sorry - translation: not needed) and should be removed too.

Anyway, "Ahhh Pinside!" is right, always someone to shit on someone else's efforts. Neither list is mine, and frankly I don't even use either list (since virtually all my games are colored). But other people find it useful, so why do you need to dog it? Baffles (translation: shocks) me!

You want to get your effort crapped on try coloring Popeye. Actually I think Randy took more crap for that than me. Every time a game is colored everyone who wasn't waiting for it seems personally insulted. Randy told me not to worry about.

Too new of a game, barely 2.5 years old. We need many more done for games 10+ years old.
Stern Indiana Jones, Pinball Magic, Indianapolis 500, and Stargate all come to mind.

age of the game has nothing to due with it, but more so finding someone that not only has access to the game in question, but is also willing to take on the task.
most of the games colored are done by people who have the inclination to spend the time to color them (which is long and takes perseverance). additionally, those jobs are usually a labor of love by people owning the games. telling someone to do something that they may not want to isn't going to score you any points

I know how exactly how it works. I do own 9 displays and been following ColorDMD since 2012 and have been showcasing displays at TPF and the Houston Arcade Expo for the past 3 years.

I'm just showing my support for the older games.

Dmod will there be some LCDs in stock soon? I have a friend with some money burning his hand for the TZ he picked up yesterday. He said it must have color.

So GB code will be final very soon, according to Stern, after that ColorDMD

With GB code polish coming up, wouldn’t this mean that if a ColorDMD be released then it would switch between orange and colour with the new code animations not being recognised?

The ColorDMD colorist would go back to the game and fix any uncolored frames. Several titles have received Stern software updates and the colorists have updated the coloring.

They have been doing about 20 a year over the last three years. If they keep up the pace they could have all the remaining games that need colorDMD treatment done in about 3.5 to 4 years.

Game of Thrones has been announced to be the next release. This will be the 18th title this year. If ColorDMD keeps that pace up then all full sized DMD games will have been colored in 4 years.
