Summer Dreams: Pintastic Returns to Sturbridge

STURBRIDGE, Mass – February 1, 2016: Dreaming of summer? It’s not too soon to start making plans for the heart of the season. One week after old-fashioned cannonballs fly to celebrate Independence Day across the street at Old Sturbridge Village, the steel balls will be flying and flippers flipping at the Pintastic Pinball and Game Room Expo, the region’s only major pinball exposition. Pintastic rolls into the Sturbridge Host Hotel and Conference Center on July 7, 8 & 9, 2016. This beautiful lakeside hotel is the ideal venue for Pintastic which features over 200 pinball machines set on free play, over 40 “old school” arcade favorites, pinball and video game tournaments, special guest speakers, door prize raffles throughout the show, repair classes, seminars and workshops, charity raffles, and much more. The thrill of the flashing lights, the glint of shiny steel rails, the satisfying ping of jet bumpers, and the frenetic action of so many brilliantly designed machines makes Pintastic like heaven for pinball enthusiasts!

It’s flippin’ fun for the whole family! Kids of all ages will enjoy face painting, a magician, balloon animals, a caricature artist, a kid’s pinball tournament with awesome prizes, and the gorgeous lake front beach with swimming and paddle boats available for all who attend. Grab a tasty bite and keep playing all day! Concessions with food and beverages including beer will also be on hand. So will the Monster Mobile Arcade, a forty-foot climate-controlled trailer packed with new and classic full-size video arcade games, all free to play with your admission. Folks with pinball machines at home can also browse the hall of vendor booths and purchase parts and upgrades for their collection. Maybe it’s time to start your own collection? New and used pinball machines and arcade games can be bought, sold and traded with exclusive show deals and discounts you can only get at Pintastic.

“We are so pleased to bring Pintastic back to Sturbridge,” said the show’s organizer Gabriel D’Annunzio of Charlton, MA. “This show has a lot of moving parts, literally, but bringing a show like this to our region has always been a dream of mine and the effort is well worth it. We heard so much positive feedback after last summer’s event, we couldn’t wait to get to work and make this year’s expo even better.”
As of January 1, the Sturbridge Host Hotel has already sold out of 1/3 of the rooms and last year the hotel was completely booked over a month before the show. Fantastic packages are still available including VIP Packages that include deluxe accommodations, admission to the expo, an after-party with great food provided by Pintastic, and after-hours play!

Admission to Pintastic is as follows: 1-Day Passes for Friday or Saturday are $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for children ages 5-11. Thursday evening admission for free-play rooms only: $15.00 Adult, $7.00 Child. The 3-Day Super Pass includes one raffle ticket with a chance to win a $4500 VP Cabs Virtual Pinball Machine, a custom key chain, custom lanyard and badge, and a Pintastic show T-shirt. Super Pass holders also get one-hour early entry on Friday and Saturday and entrance into the after-party. The 3-Day Super Pass costs $85 but it's only $75 if you purchase before April 1st. A Child’s 3-Day Super Pass (ages 5-11) is $25 when purchased with an Adult Super Pass.
