Quoted from brannonrad:I think the photo is to show these dragon heads are installed on the spinning mech
Yes, those are ready to go over to the assembly line.

Yes, those are ready to go over to the assembly line.

Quoted from fatality83:Unfortunately it seems that is where JJP is at right now. Low on the money needed to finish the game. I guess the investor either backed out or the money is spent already. No I don't have any inside knowledge and this is all speculation,
Glad it is just speculation. Since it is so inaccurate.

Quoted from 27dnast:They started posting assembly pictures back in December and one little test machine just got squeezed out???
That doesn't include the ones in the factory and at least one in Chicago, that were getting a lot of playing and checking. Then one was ready to go into the wild, and more soon.

Quoted from FalconPunch:Not really sure how production works but does anyone know why they are making so many games at a time Versus making a couple and shipping them as they go?
It is an assembly line. Once rolling parts get assembled along the way. When done get checked and tested. Then boxed and shipped.
They aren't waiting and doing in batches. Some tweaking is happening from experience with the test games. And soon a steady supply will be rolling out the door as they come down the line.

Quoted from xbloodgreenx:ramps are being fixed for all the machines on the line.
Not fixed, replaced.
LTG : )
Quoted from sevenrites:As posted earlier by a JJP tech, it will take about 10 hours per game to make the ramp switch.
If you mean me ? 40 minutes to remove each ramp. Already done. I don't know how long to install a new ramp. Though I don't suspect longer than removal.
So I would guess ( my guess ) a week or two delay. Including getting the new ramps.

Quoted from beelzeboob:I'll be interested to hear feedback from owners playing in a home environment.
I'll be interested in feedback from a tech support environment.

Quoted from Skyemont:Who got a call from JJP or your distributor saying your hobbit is on the way to you??
I got the call from JJP.
Tracking is kind of generic. Scheduled for tomorrow ( Friday the 11th )
LTG : )
Quoted from Skyemont:You work for JJP right? I mean customers like me who have nothing to do with JJP.
Yes. And I would have liked one a lot sooner to familiarize myself with the game before tech calls come in.

Quoted from Skyemont:If Hobbit's have been shipping since last Monday (i was told), where are all the pics, unboxings, videos from people?
Not every pinball buyer posts on Pinside. I'm sure lots are coming.
LTG : )
Quoted from Skyemont:I think most customers hobbits are being shipped this week and next week. Most retailers, distributors got theirs last week and this week..
I think it was a mix of customers, retailers, distributors.

Quoted from Skyemont:How do you like yours LTG?
I am biased.
I first played it two years ago before Expo, thought it was a lot of fun.
After all the improvements, they really knocked this one out of the park. Kept the fun and made it awesome.

Quoted from sevenrites:Hey LTG, I noticed this on another forum, someone managed to get a ball stuck on a troll as it was closing and ball search couldn't locate it -
Weird. I've had it happen and ball search kicked it up and out.
LTG : )
Quoted from Eskaybee:it happened to us once the whole night and ball search wouldn't unstick it.
Maybe the pop up wasn't working ? Ball search is definitely in the code.
LTG : )
Quoted from Eskaybee:On our machine it was working all night. But with the ball stuck under the pop up, it's like the coil didn't have enough juice to free it up. Don't know if code will be able to fix that.
It might need adjusting to get a full WHACK. At the bottom of the assembly is a nut, loosen it and on the other side is a rubber stopper - raise it so things ride a little higher in the coil.

Quoted from Skyemont:All of these negative comments were making me feel uncertain about my purchase.
Have you played the game ? Did you like it ? Then no worries. It is only going to get better. And it is great as it is now.

Quoted from metahugh:I put an orange spring on my Hobbit, made a big difference.
Be sure the shooter rod is lined up to hit the center of the ball.

Quoted from vicjw66:Especially, since they seem to be so common.
The show reports where Hobbits were are posted in various places and the problems didn't show up. These issues came up recently when the test games went out. And are being fixed.
Quoted from vicjw66:Maybe thats why JJP set them up low and slow for all the public appearances.
Wrong.
LTG : )
Quoted from vicjw66:The polite response would be "that is incorrect" followed by the actual reason games have been set up low and slow.
Well pardon me all to hell.
"That is incorrect". The last couple years at the shows, Hobbits appeared high and fast and low and slow. Often the games were brought there and set up by JJP distributors. And they appeared in many different variations of playfield pitch and flipper strength.
And no matter how they were set up, a few of the issues didn't appear until the first production test games went out. And are being dealt with.

Quoted from Knx873:If anyone can give me some help that would be great!
First thing is check power cable from back of monitor to where it goes into the lower rear of the cabinet. I'd follow the cable from the monitor down to be sure you got the right one. A connector came loose or wire in a connector. Then check the data cable from the monitor to the motherboard.
The flipper - check the leaf blade switches on the flipper button - might need adjusting.
Open a ticket for the upside down picture if you haven't done so yet since we talked.
