Quoted from wtatumjr:

There are things that pop up no one foresees - like the light board issue with WOZ. My guess is they want to get a few out in the wild and get reports back from hard normal usage this time.

Didn't JJP say as much a while ago? They wanted to test them before doing the general release. I am assuming/hoping they are building games and setting them aside and will finalise them at some point when they are happy with the testing results and can make whatever changes they need to make. Easier to fix the first 60-80 in the factory if something comes up instead of having them go out to a storm of 'my 8k NIB isn't perfect out of the box it is the end of the world' Let's face it there will be some things that emerge and need adjusting but that's pinball and the more they can minimise it the better.

I think JJP is doing the right thing here. Imagine how much crap they would get sending something out that is likely to break. I want my Hobbit but am happy to wait another couple weeks for it. Besides they are probably still building them now and just setting them aside for the new ramps. They do have a rather large facility by all accounts so the delay is probably just for the people that would be getting the ones that are ready to ship.

Good write up. I really don't miss LA traffic!

Quoted from vicjw66:

Secondly, most people stepping up to play at these public events are, to say it nicely, suckingly bad at pinball. Gotta make them feel good about themselves.

This is probably it! I have a couple games on location and most people are really terrible. You can see it in the stats.

Hoping the quiet is because they are working on ones that will be shipping overseas. I think a container should be heading to Australia soon.
