I went to the JJP open house last year and it was very interesting to see how they are made. They should do an episode of "How it's Made" at the factory. I was impressed with the machines and the people. Now I eagerly await my hobbit . . .
Let's talk options - you can get the playfield protector and/or the extra thick decals. Any thoughts on these two items?
I hear what u are saying about overkill but then is everyone going to post how they put Mylar patches where the ball drops off the wire habitrail returns? Or some other high wear place? I think I will be getting the field protector. Still want to hear more views on this topic
Quoted from FalconPunch:Mustard Gold? don't think so
There are no official numbers for Smaug. Its everyone that wanted to swap their orders from the LE to the SE. And then they allowed distributors to order them as well for a certain period as well. So who knows, it might be up to 500 or so?
The question is, what happens after the LEs are sold out? Say 500 SE, 1500 LE.....i don't think they would just make standards after that.
2017 - 80th anniversary edition with laser dragon eyes, hobbit shaped pin feet, built in kegerator, and gold bullion playfield (wild speculation - no actual information contained within)
