It's never too early to start promoting for a really cool show, so here we go. .

Main website:
http://www.floridaape.com

Pinside event page:
https://pinside.com/pinball/events/florida-arcade-pinball-exposition-2016

The 2016 Florida Arcade & Pinball Exposition, aka the Florida APE, will be held at the Mardi Gras Casino and Entertainment Complex in Hallandale Beach, Florida on February 19-21.
The APE used this location back in 2012 and it has proven to be a big easy-going venue with lots of free parking.
Everyone can expect an amazing weekend of arcade gaming fun featuring more than 200 pinball and arcade machines from all eras. Expect local vendors, tournaments, seminars, and special guest speakers.

We are taking a few late evening hours from Friday (02/19), and planning an Exhibitor after-party for those whom have their games on display, special VIPs, and other guests. Plan for good food consumption and drinks, among other cool activities being planned as a big "TY" for the elite supporters of APE.

Have an RV? Feel free to bring it and park it just feet away from the venue entrance. Otherwise if you are coming from very afar or wish to avoid the daily commute, we suggest to look at the nice nearby hotels listed on the website. Please do book soon as the show dates are during a rather "high traffic" season. The snowbirds love South Florida in the late winter/early spring.

A we get closer to 2016, I will update this post as more details trickles down.

For the first time at the Florida APE:

Multimorphic presents their revolutionary P3 Pinball Platform and first game, "Lexy Lightspeed - Escape From Earth!"

The P3 brings long overdue innovation to the pinball industry by combining dynamic and interactive playfield artwork with swappable playfield modules. The result is a multi-game, physical pinball platform that delivers endless opportunities for traditional and progressive gameplay experiences, improved serviceability, and significantly more value than traditional machines.

"Lexy Lightspeed - Escape From Earth" is the first game developed for the platform. The concept and playfield layout come from world renowned pinball designer, Dennis Nordman. It combines traditional pinball features like pop bumpers, standup targets, and flowing ramp shots with an 8-ball physical ball lock and mysterious ball teleportations. Gameplay includes various scene-modes that deliver a wide variety of gameplay objectives, including interacting the physical pinball with the playfield artwork.

Multimorphic founder, Gerry Stellenberg, will be in attendance showing off the P3 and discussing Multimorphic's plans for the future of pinball. Lexy Lightspeed - Escape From Earth is just the tip of the iceberg. Pinball has evolved!"

We are officially announcing the premiere of Jersey Jack and their latest pinball title "The Hobbit" this February!

Both Jersey Jack Pinball titles, "The Wizard of Oz" and "The Hobbit", will be showcased to the public, and hints of what is next to come from the man himself, Mr. "Jersey" Jack Guarnieri, founder and president of JJP, inc.

We are to proud to have the presence Jersey Jack Pinball at the 2016 APE!

Quoted from Electrocute:

Is there a list of pinball machines that will be available for free play? Can I bring pinball machines to the show? How does this show differ from Allentown?

The APE is all about replicating that arcade experience of yesteryear to the "T". I've never been to Allentown so not sure what they do. The events all around the world are all for the same "cause", but I'd like to think that every show has a different reflection from all the passion and harmony given by its organizers and supporters. In that sense, APE is one heck of a weekend party.

A gamelist is published proudly on the website when > 200 games. The website at www.floridaape.com has details in bringing games, but any immediate questions/concerns please PM me. Thank you!

We are very pleased to unveil the 2016 APE Shirt!

Front concept came from the Ape Wife. Since its inception, the Florida APE has promoted this take on the arcade gaming "evolution": From today's lifestyle and technology, retrograding to the "old-school" roots most of us had experienced in one time or another, but have never forgotten. Coming back to once was.

Back design was derived from the amazing art done by ex-Williams/Bally artist Doug Watson. Swords of Fury is one of my favorite games, and it was a pleasure to create this wonderful collage around his works. Mr. Watson, with joy, has given this his blessing.
Shirts are 100% cotton, nano-ring spun. Very nice quality and very comfortable!

To guarantee your shirt size(s), order online at http://www.floridaape.com , click on "Expo Info", and "Shirts".
You can also purchase a VIP Package which guarantees a shirt!
Remaining quantities will be for sale at the show until we completely sell out.

Thank you for your support!
Your 2016 Florida Ape Organizers.

Quoted from Electrocute:

I only see 23 Em pins listed on the APE site. Is that accurate, or is it just partial? I was hoping for machines like El Dorado, C37, Abra Ca Dabra, Kings and Queens and Sky Jump just to name a few. Machines I might add to my wish list. Is this more of a solid state/video game event? I'm probably going to go but am hopeful the Em list is partial.

Its an everything event. A bit of everything. like my brother from another mother said, Visit cocoa sometime
There maybe a few more EMs coming, some more in the tournament too. Hope you can make it.
