Bringing a machine to TPF? Let's use this parallel event thread to track who is bringing what and if they would be open to selling. No need to list prices, as this is only for tracking intent and inventory (best to keep it out of the main thread).

[EDIT] I'm bringing three machines total: Flipper Fair, King of Diamonds, and Top Score

[EDIT] Candidates for sale: King of Diamonds

#2 5 years ago

As of right now I am bringing Judge Dredd with ColorDMD installed

#3 5 years ago

Medieval Madness and Banzai Run. Not for sale, but everything has a price. Considering bringing my modded mustang pro with custom music for sale, but still enjoying it for now.

#4 5 years ago

If these games make it there, Gottlieb Stargate and Sega Twister will be for sale.
Might be willing to trade one of these, but rather just sell.

#5 5 years ago

My plans are to bring my No Good Gofers that is currently being shopped and restored and the playfield clear coated. It will be a candidate for sale or trade. If it makes it to the show it will be on the floor and set for free play.

#6 5 years ago

*Hope* to bring my TFTC -- if it doesn't sell beforehand. https://pinside.com/pinball/market/ad/16253

#7 5 years ago

Not bringing anything but I wouldn't mind bringing home a Stern Dragonfist or Bally Spectrum if anyone is selling.

#8 5 years ago

Tron - Not for sale.
Metallica - Not for Sale
Crescendo - Not for sale. Playfield being repainted/customized and going out for clear. Hopefully can get it all going before the show..

Congo - Probably not for sale.

STTNG - Um...talk to Quiddity. Color DMD, LED OCD, GI OCD, Invisiglass, custom borg cube, purple powdercoat legs, rails, lockdown, coin door. Full LED kit.
Jackbot - Probably FOR sale. Playfield is going out for clear and should be showing up at TPF.

I'm not exactly motivated to sell it, but I'll be putting a price on it this year that won't have much wiggle room. If someone wants to pay that price, I'll sell it.

#10 5 years ago

I'm not bringing it to play but I might bring it to sell. PM if interested.
Partially restored Stingray.

#11 5 years ago

You can go here to see who has registered what so far: http://texaspinball.com/tpf/game-line-up/
I'm glad TPF makes it easy to put buyers and sellers together. I really hope everyone bringing a game to TPF for sale at least puts it on the floor for free play and sells it during the show (rather than before hand and game never makes it). I know other shows put together those classifieds lists, but that's why they have so few games on the floor during the show (because everyone uses the show as a meeting point and sells before hand). It makes me sad to see collectors say they can bring a game to sell, but not for play (but they have no problem playing everyone else's games). We try to keep the above list accurate, but many times we are later told the game was sold ahead of time and not coming because a buyer contacted them after seeing their name and machine on the list.
Of course I'm biased and I want every game at the show (it's what makes the show so great). Thank you to all the exhibitors and vendors that bring games! Pinball shows are not possible without you!

#12 5 years ago

The advantage of also posting here is the ease of communication (not possible on TPF site), spontaneous additions, and finding out what part of the country an exhibitor is driving from. When games are trucked out of state it pays to make bundle deals to save on shipping.

Agreed with the importance of the show! Sold or not, I always prefer to leave them on the floor for free play until the show ends.

#13 5 years ago

Hey Ed, what do we need to do if we are switching the game we are bringing? My Paragon is not going to be done so I am bringing Dredd instead.

#14 5 years ago

Just send us an email. We'll make the change.

#15 5 years ago

if anyone wants to buy any of these, i can bring them to TPF from Austin.

#20 5 years ago

Oh whoops... I just learned from this thread I made a mistake that hadn't been corrected. It has been now, and thus, is awesome.

#21 5 years ago

me too!

Quoted from Gov:

Awesome, I look forward to playing these!

The hang glider came from my kid's allergist, it's not much of a looker, but I got it going pretty decently before it was handed off to Marcus. Only issue left that I'm aware of was the 4th player won't start a game. No doubt it will be playing nutso long before TPF. Ripping the spinner is so awesome on that game and Hi-Deal (same game but with standups on the right).

#34 5 years ago

Bringing my 1973 Williams Gulfstream that is already spoken for (sold), but it will be there at TPF for all to play.

Also bringing a 1975 Williams Triple Strike, not sure if this will be for sale as I have not played it yet seeing it is currently being shopped. If I decided to sell it a friend of mine already has first dibs, but If he passed on it I may entertain other offers.

4th player issue, eh? I'll get right on that.

Thanks! It's going to a out of state friends house who already has my Casino and Prospector so I can play/fix them when I see him.

I will use that money for a Gottlieb Jacks Open sometime this year.

I know I told you about that when we brought it over. =P

If you think we are getting our Aliens before TPF you're going to have to share whatever you are smoking when i'm over on Thurs.

You probably did. I just rarely have a reason to play 4 player games when I play them at home. So I most likely forgot.

I saw that there is not a Funhouse on the Game Line-up. I have never brought a machine to a festival before, but am considering bringing my Funhouse along for the 7 hour drive. Anyone have any advice for a potential first time exhibitor?

Stretch wrap, cardboard & Blankets are your best friend for transportation.

Remember that games are meant to be played.

Remember that the TPF Crew as well as the local pinball communities protect each others games from abuse.

And just do it. You'll be greatly appreciated for it.

What Marcus said. I'll add be patient after the show is over and /everyone/ is attempting to get their stuff loaded out at the same time. It'll work out well for you if you've made some friends during the weekend and take the hour or so's opportunity to get your game prepped to move and spend the rest of the time talking with your new friends until the crowd clears out a bit.

Bring some common tools in case your machine breaks down. There's quite a few of us that'll have a good amount of tools on hand in case you're missing something. There's also options for things like board work (Rob Anthony is the bomb!). I'm pretty sure that there's going to be at least one floating tech (Evan Smith, goes by ThePinsmith) that'll help you out with repairs, think he charged a dollar a minute at last year's show?

If I think of anything else I'll be back.

You will be greatly appreciated! Very cool of you to bring a game.

Tips... Yes

Stretch wrap and or cheap moving blankets from harbor freight etc. There are lots of people available to help you with load in/out. I'll have my Escalera with big wheel attachment. Send me a PM and I'll give you my cell #. You can call me when you arrive and I'll help you.

If you are bringing it in a covered truck then fold the head down with card board and slip it in the back of your truck along with a couple cases of beer and an AK47 for the road. Possibly bring along your girlfriend or wife for the weekend and have fun. We will help you unload and sell your game for you if needed for a small fee. Of course Xerico will fix anything wrong over the weekend and I will show you how to play pinball while I verbally abuse onlookers. All Good...?

I am in negotiations mentally on what to bring.? Someone name some games I could possibly bring on a budget.?
