In my opinion, you are giving this third flipper excesive importance. Let's imagine that that flipper has never existed, would you still want to own the machine? I think that's the main question here. In the begining TH had 4 flippers, they allready removed one, prolly because it was not really adding to the game. I frankly refuse to believe they have left an useless flipper in the design. When the code is fully completed we'll see what's really used for.

Don't just base your decision of purchasing or not TH only on that damn flipper my friend.

I don't like it either, but well, the fix is easy with all those flippers and rubber colours available in the market.
