OK... Now the Big News! The 2014 Texas Pinball Festival will play host to the largest pinball auction in history! In cooperation with Fun! Auction Company, more than 100 plug and play pinball machines will be auctioned off to the highest bidders Saturday night in a Sotheby's style auction.

All of the games included in the auction will be available for preview on Friday and Saturday and will remain on the floor on free-play the entire weekend, until the lucky buyers get to take them home on Sunday, at the conclusion of the show.

For more information, bidder registration, or to inquire about consigning a game in the auction, contact Fun! Auction Company directly.

    Quoted from Ed_in_Texas:

    In cooperation with Fun!

"And here we have a lovely player's condition Pinbot! Let's start the bidding at $4000! Do I hear 45?"

Bidders beware. There are quite a few horror stories on these guys around RGP and Pinside. "Fully shopped" games with dirty playfields and broken switches sold at ridiculous prices. I walked into their Mesquite location once and never went back.

See for yourself. You can recognize their ebay postings by the chessboard floor tiling in every photo.

Ed, what is a Sotheby's style auction??

Ed, what is a Sotheby's style auction??

I was asking the same thing on our local Facbook group this morning. What i THINK it means is (hopefully) that they're going to do the auction in a conference room off to the side instead of having a huge herd of cattle going machine to machine all over the floor.... you'll probably get a bidder number and you hold up your number to bid.

Just a note to everyone that ModMyPin.com will be at the TPF with the first full production shipment of Glo-Balls and our fluorescent balls! Our first container is supposed to leave China this week so when it arrives we will open the online store and we will have a surprise for you guys that purchased the original balls in Chicago! I promise you will like it..

Also, while at the TPF make sure you sign up for the door prizes as we will be donating balls for you to win!
