Done. I just need to go to Lowe's and get a bunch of extension cords. If it rains, that won't hurt a pinball machine, will it?

Not if you beef up your MOSFETs from Big Daddy!

Marco Specialties will be at the show with a booth and games!
Marco Specialties, Inc. was founded in 1985 with one mission: provide pinball machine owners one source for Everything Pinball.

Good chance they will bring the Walking Dead pin?

#153 9 years ago

Looking forward to the show. Wanted to go last year but couldn't. This year I am making sure I can make it.

Are you able to bring your Getaway?

I hope Steve makes it this year. I'm sure there will be a game there he'd love to play.

Yeah, he said he's never played Raven and was hoping there would be one here. I mean, those 4 perfectly placed pop bumpers is just what he needs for his next design.

#157 9 years ago

Not Steve Ritchie, Steve from Marco. He's the one I got the Raven from and he could never get it working.

No. That would just be too difficult to deal with and my three kids. Being a single dad makes it hard to do anything - that's why I missed going in years past.

Are they old enough to play some games this year.
Hats off to the single dad.

Hats off to the single dad.

They are old enough (10 yrs old) but my daughter is not as interested as my boys. I think she only played our pin a couple of times. The boys and I have played it just about every day.

I have a 2-player Karate Champ & also a South Park pin I could bring. 2 questions:
a) anyone interested in buying one in Houston?
b) anyone have a trailer in Austin who's heading to the show I could load 1 or 2 into and follow you there, then bring back to Austin if no buyer?
thx

List them on the shows page as being for sale. Include a price. SP is not hard to move if priced right.

TigerLaw, decided to watch the game at the Expo?

I'm probably going to be a last minute call. I've booked hotel rooms in both Baton Rouge and Houston. I'm likely going to order the $75 tickets from you guys as weekend sponsor whether I go or not though.

TBL pin should be enough to suck you into coming to the Expo.
Guess that is the dedication to that team kickin' in.
I'm glad pinball is my only addiction. So it is an easy choice for me to make.

#165 9 years ago

Alright Brian, Robert and I have both listed games, it's time you do the same! I suppose you could have 1 hanging out of the trunk of the Lincoln, and maybe 1 strapped to the roof?

#166 9 years ago

Erich, I had my two listed for over a month now.
Thinking about adding three more that I will drag behind the car.

#167 9 years ago

Pretty nice. 60 pins on the list as of today.

What would be awesome would be if Houston could break the record just set by Dallas at the TPF for most pins ever played at once. It could be an inner-statue feud!

#169 9 years ago

I'll be happy if we have more than 100 pins there this year.

When will tournament details be posted?

I know Marcus posted some info about the tournament somewhere recently, but I can't find it anywhere. I think it was in one of the pinball groups on Facebook.

#172 9 years ago

BUBBLE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT ADDED!!!!!!

The. International Bubble Hockey Federation (IBHF) is proud to announce that we are bringing two (possibly 3) super chexx bubble hockey tables for the weekend, and will be holding a weekend long Bubble Hockey tournament.

Format detail will be posted sometime next week. Check back here and the Houston Expo website for details soon.

#175 9 years ago

how many pins last year?

#176 9 years ago
Quoted from labnip:

110 pins were listed last year. Don't know if anyone walked around to count them.

#177 9 years ago

thanks.

i tried to play them all

so we need about 36 more.
any way to contact last year's folks who brought them (but haven't registered yet) and ask if they can bring 1+ this year?

#178 9 years ago

26 more to make 100 does not seem to be a problem.

Dutch pinball is supposed to bring 4 games.
Marco brought Star Trek pro last year.
Multimorphic has not listed their game but they have a booth. I hope the game will be playable.
Joystix games normally brings 3 or more pins.
I know a guy that is hoping to bring 10 pins (not yet listed).
Elevation Games has been bringing 5+ games in the past. He brought Hercules last year, but it sold at TPF earlier this year.
A couple of individuals still had not yet posted their games.

#179 9 years ago

cool.

yeah, Hercules is at Pinballz in austin now.
i'm still trying to find cheap uhaul/budget/trailer option.
if i can make that happen, hopefully will have pin & arcade options to bring.

#180 9 years ago

Wasn't Pinballz talking about doing a Houston expansion? If so, perhaps they will go to the show?

#181 9 years ago

they opened a 2nd place in way-south austin.
maybe houston/dallas next year or 2.

I know it's a long drive for you so I understand why you can't make it this year, but I sure liked having you there in past expos. When one of my (or my friends') games broke, you always seemed to have the part I needed without having to run home and get it! With you and Gene both gone this year, I guess I'll have to bring a few totes worth of parts this year! I hope you'll at least make it to TPF in 2015.

#184 9 years ago

I will have many parts on hand at the Expo since I will be doing pin repair as issues arise on my machines and anyone else needing help. Can't say I'll have every possible part handy, just common ones. Just ask around for Brian.

#185 9 years ago

I see JJP is a sponsor. Any chance they bring TH?

#186 9 years ago

JJP will not be appearing. They are sending down giveaways and prizes.

#187 9 years ago

Too bad. I was hoping to have a frame of reference go to with all the comments this weekend.

I call Elf! It will be an exhausting 4 hour drive up from Corpus Christi. I should get there mid afternoon on Thursday to load in and will offer any help I can to everyone else. Except for DOT. You are on your own there.

#192 9 years ago

I see there will be a Tempest and a Zookeeper at the Expo.

I hadn't heard. That is a bummer if they are not.

I always end up with a lighter wallet when Marco booth is around
