2007 Stern Spiderman. It has the metal playfield slides and a metal apron. The game is in great shape and was just cleaned up with new rubber, bulbs, and a few LEDs by the green goblin. It has a modded doc ock figure with LEDs in the arms. The cabinet is unfaded and in very good condition. The game has 3 very minor flaws. 1) the shooter lane had a chip that's been touched up. I've included a picture. 2) the display does have slight burn in. It can't be seen when on. 3) the sandman plastic cracked like it does on every spiderman so I cut it back some so the balls don't get stuck between the plastic and the 3 bank target. It still has the unopened goodie bag stapled to the side. I'm asking $4500. Ill deliver to dfw or okc for $100 more first floor only. This price good tuesday and Wednesday.

bump. Im open to offers on other games.

#4 9 years ago

Very tempting.

#5 9 years ago

ill tempt you more. $5k come get it

#6 9 years ago

Honestly, I would just trade it to a disturb. straight up for a NIB Met. A friend of mine recently did this with a SM and was happy with the transaction. For all parties involved it was a win-win.

#7 9 years ago

I would but need some cash so I figured id try a huo metallica and cash vs. a new in box metallica

#8 9 years ago

I'd love to own a SM someday but if I can convince myself to spend $5K in the near future it is going to be for a MET.

#9 9 years ago

If anyone has a Ivan Stewart off road I'll trade for that with cash on your end.

#10 9 years ago

Man that looks sweet!!!!!! wish I could find one around here for that price!!!!!

#11 9 years ago

Is Met really = SM?

Nice looking SM, extremely tempting...

Not to play price police but I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm sure there is someone out there who may feel so. I actually played Metallica last week and really really liked it, not more than SM as I love it too. So many games to be had.

Free bump

#13 9 years ago

I wouldn't do a straight trade for metallica. They would have to add cash. How much would depend on what mods metallica has on it.

#14 9 years ago

Some would in a second though. It's really starting to bother me that sellers on Pinside expect to always recoup things like shipping cost, mod expenses, the operator's overhead and delivery, and for others to not post junk or criticisms in their FS threads. It's really getting to me lately. NONE of these things should be expected.

Met is a better game than SM. SM is worth a little more in the condition here though. I wouldn't turn down a delivered NIB Met pro in exchange for that SM, but that's just me. Additionally, I think around 5K is very fair for this SM game. It's one of my favorite games.

A NIB Metallica Pro isn't $5k though. So it's funny that you think that's a fair price for it, but would make the trade down to something that's less than that (and frankly that instantly becomes even less once opened).

I'm presuming that the seller is talking about someone's used Metallica anyways, not a NIB one.

#16 9 years ago

Sure, 5K is a fair price if it's a delivered price. That's a fair offer for a 4400 NIB machine. How is it not? Shipping isn't free and should immediately be considered a loss in every single circumstance. It's the price of playing pinball.

I would prefer a distributor deliver it, rather than ANY OTHER service. I will take that deal every time.

#17 9 years ago

I'm purely discussing "shipped" prices for Metallica. It's less than $5k shipped. So yes, shipping isn't free, agreed, but that's factored in.

Anyways, not my game, so I won't keep harping on it, I'm sure the seller is perfectly capable of deciding what to trade for or not. I'm just saying that given the market value of SM and Metallica it's reasonable to ask for money on top.

#18 9 years ago

Me personally I would rather have a used metallica then a NIB. I wasn't expecting to trade for a NIB Metallica and cash. A NIB drops to the value of a huo as soon as its pulled out and used ones usually have all the bugs worked out by now. You can also find modded ones for less or for the same price as a NIB. As for this trade I need about $1000 to buy a arcade game. Yes it sounds dumb but I need to find it. If anyone happens to have that game (Ivan Stewart off road). Then I would trade for it and cash. I'm open to other pins but will still need about $1000 out of Spidey. As far as shipping it. I can ship it but it would probably be more hassle then what its worth after shipping cost. I am willing to drive the game within a 350 mile radius of me.

#19 9 years ago

Other games that would interest me are LOTR, TSPP, Xmen pro, STTNG, maybe ST pro, IM, FG, Transformers. I would still need $ though.

#20 9 years ago

Great shooter lane. Don't usually see them that nice. No chipping on the white paint stripe.

#21 9 years ago

It did have a chip but It was touched up. Seems like they had a problem with spiderman chipping there.

#22 9 years ago

Yeah you lose $500 on MET as soon as you pull it out of the box and put the legs on.

Nice SM - GLWTS.

#23 9 years ago

Bump. Make me a deal. I really need to move this before next Wednesday.

Things are slow selling right now. I think all the new stuff coming has people waiting. Lot of folks tied up in preorders. Plus a lot of people already have this fantastic game. SM destroys met imho. glws

Crazy, a year ago this would have been gone in hours. I think this answers the question if Stern would do well on producing a SM VE, I just don't think the market is there, too many people have the game, too many other games available or coming down the pipe and price isn't fetching what it used to.

That's a theory. A year ago I would have snatched this up. I want one. However, since VEs and the potential of a SMVE, I've lowered my personal target price for a HUO SM to a price well below what I'd expect of a NIB SMVE. I've not left the SM market, I've just adjusted my strike price. If Stern does another SM run, I'm in immediately.

Interesting this hasn't sold yet at that price. Pin prices don't seem to have started to climb right before the holidays...maybe prices will climb when Christmas bonuses start to kick in!

#43 9 years ago

Its pending. Im just slow at updating today.

I'm with Rush on this one. The possibility of a vault edition has changed the market for SM. My target price for a SM is lower since IMve as well.
