I have the tech coming tomorrow to install a new Rottendog Rectifier board. Although I'm sure he'll know what he's doing, I thought this question might make it easier for him.

There is a braided ground wire in the backbox that is not connected to anything. It was at some point because there is nole on the end, like it was attached to a screw somewhere.

Then there is a wire that was soldered directly to Bridge Rectifier 2. It comes off the wire bundle connection to J3, If I'm following the wire correctly. It's a thin orange wire. Is this supposed to go to J3 directly?

Yes, the tech figured that out from the schematics and put in a new connector as the pin 8 connection was what burned the pin on the old board and the connector. He added back the orange wire to pin 8 on the new connector / board and all is well.
