Why would I want that . Playing MK with a huge 26 crt in front of you is the experience. Not a small lcd in a small 300 in 1 cabinet

Arcade1ups aren't for everyone but I love them. On a riser they are pretty much the same size as a cabaret which you can see in my pic here with a real Galaga cab in the corner. For me they are the perfect size and easy to move to rotate my lineup. Yes their quality leaves something to be desired but controls are easily upgraded if you want and they include the plastic panel protectors now. I bought MK recently and likely will get SW later this year when they arrive.

I personally wouldn't buy one.
I purchased the Asteroids cabinet when it was $169 and used it one time. The plexiglass bezel was gouged and the LCD screen had about 3 pink pixels on it out of the box. They were nice enough to send me replacement parts, but I haven't had the time or desire to rip it apart again to fix what shouldn't have been screwed up in the first place.
The spinner sucks and I really don't want to dump another $100 into it for a riser.
I can't see how two people could even fit at MK for 2-player.
A great spinner is $50 now. Pretty decent price considering I just dropped $270 on Pinbladez to mod my AFM.

I’ve had no problem with 2 adults on my street fighter. You might have to rub elbows, but that’s ok with me, I don’t have a problem with touching friends and there won’t be strangers in my basement.
I just bought a pac man cab too.
Pinball is my priority and I'm limited on space so the 1up arcade is ideal for someone like me. While arcades are cool and all, pinball ranks supreme in my house so if its between an arcade or another pinball machine the pin always wins.

Thats my biggest challenge....is the space....

I love em. They are things of beauty. Just last weekend I decided it was finally time to get all mine nice so I started going through all the control panels. 25 years of God knows what on those plexi control panel overlays but they did their jobs. The art underneath was in great shape. Only KI2 had some art come off when I removed that one , so that one got a new overlay as well as new plexi. I have to finish putting them all back together, but they look amazing now.

You can see my UMK3 Cab at the end of pinball row. I have a 6 in one switcher in it will all the MK's in it. I played a modded 1 up at allentown, didn't like it at all. They changed the joysticks out with these clear one. It played like crap. Couldn't even pull off sub zeros head rip fatality on it after multiple trys. Also don't like the flat screen. If these things were like $200 I would consider getting on to put in my office at work or in the bathroom so I can play some MK on the crapper

Well drop my dick in the dirt! That’s what’s been missing this whole time....A little MK on the crapper. I’ll make sure to have the antibacterial wipes handy in case I ever buy one of your games.
In all seriousness. I saw this at Walmart and picked it up. It actually plays/emulates just fine. Not for the purists by any stretch of the imagination. Quite honestly these old games don’t hold my attention like they did back in the day. Spending 1400 on an actual cab would come with a ton of regret. Even though it would hold up and play better most assuredly.
Btw two people can play just fine. Just have to angle a little.

I mean it's meant to be played sitting down so...... lol Imagine walking past the bathroom and hearing finish him!!! lol

Flush him!

That’s my issue. We still play Street Fighter every week in various flavors, but MK doesn’t have the same longevity. Fun games, but janky and unbalanced and just not enough competitive depth to keep playing.
I’d love to add a real MK cab to my collection, be fun, but once the nostalgia faded? Would probably just take up space. And I only have so much of that, games gotta earn their keep.
Out of curiosity, how far apart are the MK buttons on center? Want to know if it’s my imagination that A1Ups are squished.

How
I think a nice MAME cab with 100,000 arcade and console games is better than a 1up. Just the poor quality joystick and buttons would wind me up, and nowadays you could get a Pandora-based joystick to plug into the TV & sound system anyway, not to mention the good old Xbox.
Quoted from TomN:Wow! Those are some cool street fighter cabs. Why so many? Are the linked up or something?
Yes, they’re linked, why each pair has the same image on them. Everyone gets their own control panel and monitor, we’re not savages.
Sweet! I’ll bet that’s a great way to play. I’m used to standing right next my opponent. I only have a Neo-Geo upright.

Honestly once you’re used to it it’s very hard to go back heh. It means “less games” on the cabs, but they get a lot of use this way.

How
Low Kick and Low Punch buttons are 4.5" apart outside button to outside button. Low Punch to Block is about 3.5" apart from outside button to outside button.

Nice. I got the same three except KI1 instead of KI2. Probably had 40+ arcades at one point but decided to keep those 3 and my Grid's.

40 arcades!? I can't imagine how many games you had in them!

Thing of beauty right there. I need to get my candy cabs back together.
