1Ups are a lot of fun period and are popular partly due to price and due to the nostalgic factor. Sure they're not 100% the same as the original but they are damn close so close I think only the purist in arcade players really notice the difference. I personally think they are a great value for the hours of fun I've watched people enjoying playing them and oh yeah, they save space!

#104 3 years ago
Quoted from metallik:

Me? I need the CRT for authenticity so the 1ups aren't my cup o tea.

I get it, no different with me and 80's pinball machines. I prefer them over the modern pins for their simplicities and the fact that I lived their introduction and at the time it was mind blowing technology. Not a good comparison I know. You can change the controls in the 1ups if you like and I'm sure many do. I just think the fun factor far out weighs the menial cost of purchasing. I remember when pong came out we were like hell yeah this is really big time, lol, little did we know.

I know that i spent too much on the BurgerTime cabinet

Money well spent brother you will enjoy your game and likely some of the others. I bought Galaga and it also has Galaxian, everyone loves the Galaga and plays the hell out of it but hardly anyone plays Galaxian including me. I still think it's some of the best money I've spent just for the fun it provides to so many and myself.

#131 3 years ago

I bought my Galaga about a year ago at Walmart for $168.00 and it included the riser.

#141 3 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

As far as the controls go though on the older cabinets couldn't a person buy new joysticks and put them in if they wanted to?

Yes you can get new controls and install them and I agree with those who say they see little if any lag in play.

Quoted from Who-Dey:

Guys how come we are such nerds?? I don't know the answer either but I'm having more fun with this hobby than just about anything I've ever done in my life so I dont care!

These arcade games and pinball machines make new feel like a little kid again and I like it

Exactly they take me back to the time when life was not so convoluted and for a moment I'm reliving the happiest times of my life.

#167 3 years ago

Glad you got it, I knew you'd like it too. Heck buddy people will come over and play it enough trust me. How does Debbie like it? I'm considering getting another maybe 2 in the not to distant future. Enjoy Who-Dey!

#170 3 years ago

Yeah that's how it is with Amy, she comes down and plays when people are here or when I move something new in but other than that not so much. lol

Quoted from Who-Dey:

She likes it and thinks its neat but she doesn't care much about any if these games.

#185 3 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

Is single player fun or do you have to play 2 player?

2 Player is much more fun for me. Single player would get boring pretty quick.

#191 3 years ago

Who-Dey if you ever want to try a mame/arcade system I have one with over 26,000 games on it you can try to see if you like it. Play it for a couple months or what ever if you want.

#196 3 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

I appreciate the offer, I may come and check it one day. What are your thoughts on the names? I've heard that some games they play accurately and others not so much? I dont know anything at all about them. Do you like yours?

Yes I like the play, you can play PS2 and some PS# games on it, has a track ball for Golden Tee and centipede type games. I would say the only drawback is if you do not know the platform a game is played on it could/would be daunting to look through 26,000 games for it. takes up no room and is plug and play so long as it has an HDMI port. I also have a PS2 controller and a keyboard that can be used as well for those games that need them to play correctly.

I remember you showing that to me now. That is pretty cool. Did you make that or buy it or what?

Bought the parts and all I had to do was put it together. Think it cost me $250-270.00. I like the Arcade1up's cabinets so I'm planning on getting my fav's and line them up.

#203 3 years ago

Played the Mortal Combat 1up and it was a blast, been over a decade since I last played and I enjoyed the hell out of it.

#205 3 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

I got one of those on my PS4 and it got old pretty fast. I couldn't remember all of those button combinations if my life depended on it. It seems like all I do is mash buttons and hope for the best on that game..

Me too lol, I'm the worst play station player alive!

#209 3 years ago

Are you installing an 8way then or just a better 4way

#210 3 years ago
Quoted from Luckydogg420:

Just size this pic and stick it on the game. You’ll never forget the moves again

Wouldn't do me any good when I play the results are like watching someone trying to run with their shoelaces tied together.

#213 3 years ago

Never heard of Caveman Ninja? Have you played it? Sounds like another martial arts gamethat could be fun.

Am going to purchase BBH Pro and just wanted to confirm I read some things correctly before I do. Thought I read that when you assemble it you should put some pad in the bottom of the gun slot as the gun tips hit the bottoms? I was thinking if this is the case were you or has anyone used those small round furniture sliders they make to accomplish this? Any info will be much appreciated about anything I should look for and how to avoid problems etc..

I've had my Galaga for over 2yrs and it's plays just as well as the day it was purchased. Pacman is only one year old but so far so good

#523 2 years ago

Looks like it is a hit! I'm still planning on getting a BBHunter here in a couple weeks.

Just got a Marvel vs Capcom for what I think is a great price. They were asking $249.00 which was good as is but I got my sisters discount and so it cost me only $219.00. Haven't opened it yet as I'm to busy working but will do so come Monday or Tuesday.

Anyone have one and if so how do you like it? Couple pic's of the box and the games that come with it.

Only had my Buck Hunter for a week but I love it. Granted the cabs are not made as sturdy as their "commercial" counterparts were but they are meant for home use not a business oriented situation.

#572 2 years ago
Quoted from RyanStl:

It is sturdy as much as it needs to be. I believe sturdier than any of my Ikea furniture. I know that is a low bar, but not being sturdy isn't someone needs to worry about.

I'm in full agreement with you. I have 4, Galaga, Pacman, Marvel vs Capcom, and Big Buck Hunter and love them all!

Love my Arcade1up's. Mare vs Capcom with street fighter gets the most play followed by Big Buck Hunter

Has anyone gotten one of the Arcade1up Infinity game tables yet? Wondering if it is worth it or not, it sounds great so I'm hoping it is.

My Big Buck has been a success since day one in terms of people playing it so I'm very happy with it. I also have not done any mods to mine

Quoted from Groo:

FedEx has been really spotty over the past year or so. I take delivery dates with a grain of salt with them. That being said, it still shows they haven't picked up the package yet so doubting it will deliver by Thursday. Granted that could be the shipper as much as FedEx, but overall their tracking system has been bad lately. Pretty excited for Dragon's Lair though to finish off my game room for now.

FedEx around Cincy is really horrible about updating the tracking. There have been more than a couple times I received packages when it shows they hadn't been picked it up yet. They are really hard on packages too!

Thinking about trying to trade some of my arcade1up games for a Black Hole pin. This is what I have to work with: Galaga, Marvel vs Capcom (Street Fighter version), Legends Ultimate, BBH, Pacman (wall unit) and finally a Toy Shock Black Hole pin. What do you think, maybe a combination possible to get a trade?

#1264 1 year ago
Quoted from kool1:

Horrible flipper lag and jagged graphics. I wouldn't. I sold mine after a month.

I bought one and it was a disappointment, graphics were okay but flipper lag is bad. Mlne was a Toyshock

#1266 1 year ago
Quoted from LilRocky:

Agree completely on the Williams table about the lag. However, I don’t notice the lag on Star Wars and marvel tables.

Mine is the Black Hole

Quoted from dsmoke1986:

Hate to break it to him, but said person does not exist

You need to get out more cause I just made a trade and had to give up only 800 bucks to boot! Will be going to deliver and pickup this Sat., I am pumped!
