I have around 10 of them... and for what they cost they are worth it. My favorite is the 40th anniversary Pacman, Star Wars, TMNT and we plan on getting NBA Jams (I played it at a show in February and we loved it).

A few thoughts

1- if you really like the game you may want to buy updated joysticks and buttons. The joysticks are probably the most important upgrade

2- Buy a street fighter cabinet and a retro-pi upgrade kit.

Quoted from Who-Dey:

The 40th anniversary Pac Man is 499.99, I thought they were 399.99. Five hundred dollars is definitely more than I would want to pay because let's be realistic, do you think you would really play it that much?
The Burger Time you can buy factory direct for 399.99 with the matching riser included. Thats more doable but still not cheap. What state are these made in, does anyone know?

I think the 40th edition pacman will occasionally go on sale and drop to $400. I have seen it at that price before.

If my memory serves me correctly, Arcade 1Up is owned by Tastemakers LLC. Tastemakers was out of NY and they have made a lot of toys in the past.

Yep- this is correct.

Dragon's lair would be awesome... but I will warn you... it is an awful game. It basically the equivalent to one of those games you could play on a DVD player. I have an original... and it is a huge draw for people that come over... until they play a couple of games.

Quoted from LukyDuck:

Yes, you can change all of the buttons and joysticks. Replacements cost little to nothing for good controls.

Yeah, I agree. Replacing the controls is a pretty simple project. As far as lag.... I don't ever remember experiencing it in any of my (8) cabinets.

Does anyone know how to do video grabs from an Arcade 1up cabinet? What kind of connector/adapter do I need to connect to the HDMI side of an Elgato capture device? Is it even possible?

Quoted from Who-Dey:

The game has Karate Champ, BurgerTime, Bad Dudes, and Caveman Ninja. Bad Dudes and Caveman Ninja use the 8 way gates and BurgerTime and Karate Champ use 4 way restrictor gates so those four games should have never been put on the same cabinet.
BurgerTime didnt control very good so they started installing a special gate that made it better I guess and it still works with Caveman Ninja and Bad Dudes also. The only correct way to play BurgerTime is with the 4 way gates like you would have on a pac man machine...up, down, right, and left only.
It was dumb to put those 4 games together and I like the hell out of BurgerTime and Karate Champ so I'm going to install the correct controls and just forget about the other two games.

I have a MAME cabinet and I have the same issue. Games like Pacman and Ms. Pacman are almost unplayable.
