I believe NBA jam is internet connected...you can play your buddy across town on one if you want. Super cool!

Quoted from Pahuffman:I agree with the earlier post that these are a fad. Once the nostalgia wears off, people will start dumping them for cheap. For $400, you can build a nice MAME PC and throw it in any old arcade cabinet. It makes for a great project and you can get exactly the setup and games you want with better performance. Just buy a license for Launchbox and *acquire* some ROMs from the internet and you're ready to go.
If the nostalgia ever wears off, then at least you have a PC.
These aren't targeting people who are hard core enthusiasts and know how to set up Mame. They are for the average Joe who who doesn't have the space or time to roll around a mildew filled, cigarette burned 30 year old cabinet into their family room and set up and configure mame.
Quoted from arcademojo:No Go on the BBH cab.
So this morning when I messaged the seller for their address they said pick up was in a hotel room?!?!?! Not just any hotel room but in a rundown section intown.
Call me paranoid but saving $150 off retail is not worth the trip. Plus I wouldn't even bring that thing in my house until it was fumigated for cockroaches.
Hell no!!!
They probably didn't even have the game...you were probably going to get robbed.
AFM is now in stock at Best Buy! People were trying to scalp these for $1k last week. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/arcade1up-williams-bally-attack-from-mars-pinball-digital/6448415.p?skuId=6448415
NIB day is here. I didn't have much time to play more than a game or two so far...but the build quality seems decent for what it is. Game has metal legs, lock down bar and side rails. Mylar around the flipper buttons was a nice touch also. I've played these Zen tables on my phone for a long time, and I found them way easier to play and hit my shots on this cab compared to my phone. The haptic feedback is a nice touch, but it could be a tad stronger. It does make the game feel a bit more natural though.
Just so happened to have my Road Show ramp mold sitting next to the landing spot for the box, lol.
20210526_164312 (resized).jpg20210526_190407 (resized).jpgSome people just don't have the time and energy to dick around for hours sourcing parts, building and configuring their own setup. I get that you all are proud of what you made, but you have to realize that is not for everyone. Some folks are fine with not having perfect controls and response like you may remember...and that is okay too. There always seems to be a constant stream of elitist "enthusiast" folks poo-pooing these Arcade 1up machines. Pro tip- you aren't the market they are targeting.
