Finally picked up my first Pinball!! Love it, 1 week and whole family cannot stop playing.
Is is in pretty good shape. no real wear issues..

Have a few Tech questions;
1. Occasionally resets while playing, goes into test mode and then it restarts ??
2. Sometimes the high(top flipper right doesn't work)
3. Very faint hum ( either from speakers, or DMD )

area any the above a concern? or a realtively easy fix ?

Havent really looked inside or opened it up yet. Have worked on arcade games, but Pinball is new for me..

any help would be appreciated !
thanks

Congrats on your first pin!! The faint hum seems to be normal since I have that on mine as well.

Great first pin! I say that because it was my first pin

On point 3, You'll always have a hum with a DE pin. The fact that you describe it as faint means you're luckier than most!

On point 2, first place I'd check is the leaf switch that the flipper button presses on inside the cabinet. JP has a two-stage switch where the first leaf activates the lower flipper and the second leaf activates the upper flipper. It could be bent so that it barely touches when you press the button all the way in, or it could be corroded. Give it a light file and clean with some isopropyl alcohol or 'contact cleaner'.

I'm not awesome enough to troubleshoot on point one, but on both 1 and 2 you need to provide a bit more detail explaining what exactly is happening and when.

1 - be sure every connector is on tight. Be sure fuse clips on power supply board are still on the board good and gripping the fuse tight. Then check 5 volt output from power supply board and see if it's low.

2- check for poor solder joints, loose wires, and the set of points it gets a signal from if they are clean and working. ( not sure if you have an extra set on flipper button or both )

Nice game to start with.

#1-Do you have a lot of other devices on the same circuit? Try plugging it into another circuit to see if the problem remains.

Hi, thanks for the quick repsonses . I always loved this movie, and had a chance to get this pinball ( only had to drive about 110miles ) to get it .

I will take a closer look at the flipper button and what outlet it is plugged into.

When you first turn it on, it does the TEST- for the T-REX. then when playing( not all the time )
it would just randomally shut off and do the test mode again
so far it hasnt happened that much, but a few times..

Everyone in my family loves the game!

thanks again, I will repost when I have a moment to take a look at it.
