Have a feeling the answer to OP's question is either SM or POTC. Watch the movies with your daughters and they may take a liking to it too.
Easier to play than Houdini, lots going on, saves $1500-1800 over NIB MBr or AFMr, and then that $ can be used for your inevitable 2nd game to complement it (like an early SS game).
