Quoted from fosaisu:So what's the "certain price" you're alluding to here? Don't just rag on everyone else's guesswork, throw something out there for the crowd to chew on!
A certain price is that on the east coast I haven't seen any in any working condition for less than 7500 and that was for well routed players pin. Doesn't mean there haven't been any for less but I'm pretty aware of what's for sale.
What plays different? Not much honestly, but there are many like myself that value the look and feel of the original game - even if it plays "like a used game". It's what I played in the arcade when I grew to love the game. There is a little something to be said, for me, that WPC95 is a tried and true platform that the community has loads of experience with and can repair with relative ease if something fails.
$8k for a MMR is a value in comparison and it's great that there's more of this game available but IMO it doesn't drastically reduce the demand or appeal of the originals, except for that initial drop when MMr actually was available to buy.
