I either get the ball bouncing back pretty hard off what I believe to be the rail and going down the snowboard ramp straight for the center ball drain, or the ball stops and is stuck on the ramp just past the plastic to rail connection point. It makes a bummer of a round when that happens and you are cruising for a record.

Believe it or not it was the plunger spring- someone put one in that was 2 sizes/strengths too strong, so when you plunged to start the game, the ball was getting airborne and hitting the wireform, it broke a weld eventually!
I put the correct color plunger spring in and all is good now

Talked to my pin guy and I had a red spring on my shooter. He said a white or brown would likely benefit me in regards to my issue. What colors do other Wipeouts use for the shooter spring? I bought both a white and brown. I also noticed my shooter tip is in rough shape and I already have one of those so I will replace it as well. I will try the cement on that crack.

This is definitely the primary fix and cause of the ramp issue. The red spring was just destroying that ramp-to-rail connection. The white spring sends the ball very nicely into the rail without a thud against the rail or plastic ramp. My shooter rod had a damaged end from no rubber tip but I was able to softly grind some of the side metal and place a new rubber tip that sat nicely and makes a good soft contact with the ball. I also replaced all of my balls so I didn't have any dinged up balls rustling around.
Only thing left to do is use that Weld-On 16 for the plastic ramp fix and this issue is behind me and on to other repairs. This is indeed quite fun and I'm catching the bug. Thanks again!

Was able to pickup a Wipe Out this week that a guy had in his basement for the past 15 years. He had no idea how to operate it or how to even open it up. I was able to find the keys to the coin door and drill out back box lock to get it disassembled. Long story short machine is filthy but I scored a great machine that won't take much to have looking / playing fantastic.
Here's my question... playfield is in very good shape but does have a wear spot or two and the cabinet needs some touch ups. Does anyone know what the paint colors / codes are? I'm hoping to avoid a lot of trial and error!
