Looks like the back of the flyer talks about it being interactive with the game music and sounds. Must be some type of light show that plays to the music and sounds of the game like those interactive sound tees they sell at mall kiosks.
I decided to go right to the horses mouth and I reached out to Joe Kaminkow on this. Hopefully he gets back to me.
Joe got back to me. Here is what he said...
"If I recall most early games perhaps 500 had them
They screwed on on top
It was a spinning led board
That looked like a laser light show"
So he thinks there are some out there. They made 2,500 Laser Wars though, so that would mean about 20% had them. You would think someone would have one or at least seen one then. Different than what I thought though about being sound reactive. A spinning LED board instead. Makes sense I suppose, since sound reactive would have reacted to all the other noise in the room.
3 years and finally confirmation with a physical topper. Nice. My Laser War is long gone, I thought for sure that we'd find Bigfoot or the Loch Ness Monster before one of these would actually show up. Really cool.
Quoted from lordloss:Did that stay in MN? I wouldn't mind a laser war to complete my DE set someday.
No, it went off to the unholy land just east of us.
