So the other day my uncle came across a Sorcerer with a known mpu issue. I saw it for the first time yesterday and fell in love. When i opened up the back cab I saw the system 9 had a bad history of chopping and a bad light connector. Under the playfield almost all coils are expanded and some were spliced in with crimp connectors.

I know if I find the problem(s) I can fix it (them).

I really want to get into this hobby and already missed my chance at a decent Dr Who.

What would be a decent offer for this pin?

I don't know much about the game, but I can say this - that playfield looks to be in really good shape for the game.. A lot of Sorcerer's I've seen have worn playfields.

You didn't tell us about the BG.

If the BG is alright, it'd be a good project at $700, IMO.

Oh yeah. The back glass looks really good also.

By looking at your EOS capacitors, you are going to find a lot of "surprises" under that playfield...

Depending on what the known MPU issue is, I would go 700-750 pretty easy. If the known issue is an easy fix, then I would go even more.

I paid 900 for mine 7-8 years ago. It had lots of little issues, overall a nice playfield, except for a moved post and extra hole on the playfield and a close to perfect backglass. And that was 7-8 years ago. It is one that will never leave, even though I don't play it very much.

"Little surprises like the capacitors don't bother me too much. It is big MPU surprises that can give me headaches.

BTW, I ordered the PPS reproduction backglass. It is beautiful. I put pictures in another thread. Not sure why I needed a spare, but I did

Sorry your uncle sold me DW. The Sorceror looks great, if you can get him to stop trying to sell it to you like when he sold cars. He's way too high

Wooooo got it for 800!

Great price for a sorcerer with a playfield in that condition.

Worst case is if there are board or display issues. But if you can't fix them new replacements are available. And you will still have a great pin.

Finally a pinhead, Genjure. Maybe now sempai will notice you lol

So. Think you can get it running before the Louisville Expo?

#12 8 years ago

Good price!

Enjoy the project!

800 is a steal for that condition. Enjoy it, mortal!

That's a score. Great playfield condition and an excellent game. My favorite in my small collection.

Welcome to the club. Maybe check out my Sorcerer Walkthrough video (shameless plug!)...
