    Hey All,

I had a chance to stop into the 1984 arcade in downtown Springfield, MO

Really nice place. It's def more arcade related but they have a fantastic 80's lineup of vids

$5.00 cover for arcades and pins are 25 to 50 cents for the pins

The state of the pins isn't amazing but they are all playable.

The BK2K was in fantastic shape and played as such.

    Current line up of pins
    JD
    HS
    Swords of fury
    BK2K
    Funhouse
    Black Pyramid

If your in the area it's a super cheap night out for some entertainment.

I went 3 days in a row when working in Springfield few months back.

The staff/owners are really cool & its a great place to play dedicated games on dedicated hardware surrounded by weird 80's stuff.

Get a burger @ the "Grad school" a door or two down & sit in front of the grill. Yeah you will get grease on your glasses but it just makes playing ESB that much better!

FYI: Downtown Springfield is pretty cool. I could totally see myself driving there again & renting a nearby hotel just to eat/drink/1984 & pub crawl all weekend. So if anyone wants to spend a weekend doing something cool out of town this is really a destination to visit.

Okay, I'm bumping a real old topic, but I'm going on my first real vacation in many years and will be in the Springfield MO. area next weekend (27th thru 30th). Time permitting, I'd like to check out 1984 (it's only about 12 miles from where my brothers home is at). but I see that the hours are 4 P.M to 11 P.M. so I don't know for sure I would have time to go, but can anyone who's been there recently recommend it?

Yep, I stop by there whenever I am in town. The guys there are great and very friendly talk to one of the owners, Devin Durham . A lot more arcade games than Pinball but they have a nice collection. I believe they have their Ghost Busters in as well. I would recommend!

Had a great time there a few years back. Looks like they've added a bunch of pins since then (seventeen). Nice list of games, but not quite current.

Can anyone local verify or update this list from Dec. 2015?

Here's a current (partial) list of games I found (It's a graphic one so you have to go to the page):

They still list Black Pyramid, Black Knight 2K, Space Invaders, Grand Lizard and Swords of Fury (LIONMAN!!!). but they say they have 16-18 pins.

Okay, So after I went to 1984, the weather got really bad. Not only were there fierce storms in Missouri, I had to worry about my drive back to California as well (Snow in the Texas Panhandle, in Kansas, ans New Mexico) and ended up leaving home early. On the way home I was hearing about the flooding in Eureka s well. Needless to say, I haven't had much of a chance to post here the last week, but here's some of the picture I took:
