I have a chance to grab a Stern Magic locally and the guy wants $250 for it. It's condition is about a 5 out of 10. The MPU works but sound is flaky and displays don't work. I'm assuming the HV section of the PSU will need to be rebuilt. What do you guys think? Worthy of a project?

Yeah, I agree with you. I had a Meteor come through once and I didn't even bother doing anything to it, I ended up selling right away. But really, I figured I should be able to get my $ back in parts if I hate it. I feel maybe it's time to give the old stern a chance. At least fix it up to its fullest potential and see if it really does suck. I've only judged the old sterns by their appearance.

Sweet pic! Yeah, the graphics are actually really cool on the game. Still don't think the game play would be stellar, but What the hell. $250 Stern Magic project, here we go.
