Quoted from Playdium:

What was the total production number run on these?

He promises 25 pfs but usually runs 30 or a couple more. He always has what he calls are seconds but usually very slight imperfections, he is a perfectionist in every sense of the word.

Since I committed to purchasing one some time ago, and the fact that I never found a machine for it, I'll be offering mine up for sale. I've read that Wade has sold out of these. So if you missed out on getting one, send me a PM.

#203 3 years ago

Just got mine today! Thank you Wade from me and all of us!

IMG_1081 (resized).JPGIMG_1081 (resized).JPG Love opening packages. Wade packs his stuff well and in these times this is good as the box had some minor damage. IMG_1082 (resized).JPGIMG_1082 (resized).JPG looking good. IMG_1084 (resized).JPGIMG_1084 (resized).JPG No No! SteveinTexas Who sourced the rails?

Inquiring minds want to know...

#207 3 years ago

I got 3 sets ready now. The young lady is visiting from Austin with my son tomorrow with possibly a few more. Pm me if interested.

#208 3 years ago

Did you guys get a shipping notice email prior to the playfield showing up?

#209 3 years ago

Yes Wade sent me an email that he had shipped, a transmittal # and an expected delivery date

#210 3 years ago

It was my fault - I forgot to reply to his email asking for an address.

Anyone getting a new playfield that wants matching maple playfield rails, Stephanie dropped off 4 more sets last week. They are accurately made, major holes drilled either plain or lacquered with 2 day shipping.

Pm me if interested.

#212 3 years ago

Rails are getting snapped up. So asked Stephanie to get the materials for another 4 sets.

Absolutely beautiful playfield. I’m so happy with this.

Wade's work is top notch.

Quoted from Methos:

This will be my 7th playfield swap, and I’ve never had one where the playfield “dimples” are actually drilled out so I don’t have to do it. That’s a HUGE benefit. I’m 90% done with Mata Hari, but I want to start on C37 tomorrow!

#218 3 years ago

SteveinTexas these lacquered rails are perfect. I’ll populate the rest of the topside tomorrow.

Phew!

Here’s some motivation for others, I hope. Most satisfying swap I’ve ever done, and my first EM swap. I didn’t bother to run new wire. I just snipped every staple, lifted everything and dropped it in place. I’m going to enjoy a glass of wine in the glow of this beauty for a few more minutes, then I’ll hit start. I’m dreading it, because the game has been sitting for 8+ years. Wish me luck!

Good Luck!!

Chris Hutchins of High End Pins mentions in his weekly restoration thread that he is going to restore a Knockout and C37 in the near future. He picked up some of Stephanie’s new playfield rails.

I lacquered them what do you think, will he sand down and redo.... course he will!

#224 3 years ago

I got really lucky, the game mostly “just worked”. The ball count wasn’t resetting to ball 1 at the start of a game. I sanded the disc on the ball count unit with 1000 grit, and added a very light coat of machine oil, and that fixed that problem. Then I spent a few hours cleaning and tweaking the thermometer ribbon assembly. Some playfield switch adjustments here and there. It’s playing fast and fun at a 5 degree incline, but I’ll probably drop it down a bit.

very nice. Time for a cab repaint?

Yeah, my cab is in rough shape, very faded and delaminating in several places. I’ve used Bondo before with DMD pins, but that seems like the wrong thing to use here.

No these look great. Thanks.

I have one set of maple lacquered and one set of bare rails that will fit 1970's Gottlieb games ready to ship if some one wants for their new play-fields.

#229 3 years ago

Joined two clubs today. I actually need the Sky Jump playfield way more than the C37. My Sky Jump is worn out and my C37 is actually pretty nice.

Edit: Lens must have been dirty. The artwork is crisp and clear and colorful. Not sure why the picture came out meh.

I missed out on this purchase but recently picked up a C37 that could benefit from a swap. If anyone purchased a playfield that they didn't up needing, please PM me.

#231 3 years ago

If anyone did a swap and would be interested in parting ways with their original playfield... and doesn’t mind shipping to Canada... let me know... I think this is a beautiful playfield and have a project I’d potentially like to use one for.

Hey guys, recently got my playfield delivered finally! Wade does some fantastic work!

#233 3 years ago

I have not seen the C-37, but yes, Wade does high quality work that, at least in my experience, tends to hold its fine appearance well. Wade is a true craftsman.

I can't say the same for all other repro playfields.

I’m getting ready to pull our original C37 playfield and touch it up.

But....Before that I wanted to see if any of you folks who swapped in a Wade K playfield would consider trading me your used one, (hopefully in better condition than mine)?

I know you’re out there and I too am guilty of replacing a very nice playfield with a repro.

Mine will look just as nice hanging on your game room wall!

Old thread sorry, didn’t know where to post. Looking For C37 playfield for recently acquired game. New repro if you can point me in the right direction. My first EM. Thanks!

#236 1 year ago

Let's start a new order!!!! Brand new Centigrade 37 playfield reproduction by the one and only "Wade". If we get 20-30 playfield bulk order he would probably produce. Not sure what pricing will be I think the last batch was $750+ shipping. I emailed him a few weeks ago and he is finishing up strange world, working on surf champ/surfer aswell then his backlog for 2023 is unsure but he did bring up possibly sing along, slick chick and I think cross town as maybes? I wouldn't mind a centigrade 37 so I will be the first to show interest.....
Go centigrade37 go!!?

#237 1 year ago

I’ll take 2

#238 1 year ago

I'll take one.

#239 1 year ago

I’m in for one.

#240 1 year ago

I will take 1

Let's see how many more takers. I will message Wade if we get pretty close to 20

#241 1 year ago

I did a swap with a Wade PF a couple of years ago and I still have the original PF. The original one is in decent but not great shape. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

#242 1 year ago

Need 18 more bump.

#243 1 year ago

I would take one or two if needed to make it happen.
I still have a spare new cabinet for one of these.

#244 1 year ago

Looks like 8 single so far, possibly 10 if I get 2units & @ high_end_pins. But 8 for now? Another fellow emailed me yesterday showing interest.

#245 1 year ago

I’m still looking for a used playfield at a cheap price for another project if these get made again and someone wants to move their swapped one on for a good cause hit me up!

1 week later
#246 1 year ago

i'll take one.

#247 1 year ago

Ok with beadwindow taking 1 , that brings the total to 9units.
Still quite a ways to go, but with centigrade being such a big blockbuster hit, I'm optimistic the demand is there
