do you get any score? if you manually operate the scoring relays in the head do your chimes function? Usually a dirty contact on the scoring relay(s)
Ok, I worked on Pioneer today.
The 5 switches on the left of the bank control the rollovers, the left contact on each switch turns off the letter light on the playfield and turns on the rollover light.
I adjusted/cleaned all the switches, everything worked except for one, no voltage at the socket, I can address that later.
However the bank of switches pivots on a bracket, as I moved it back into place the lights flickered off and on.
I was having trouble getting it in place, gave up for the day.
I'm thinking some of my problems were caused by the switch cluster not being grounded properly.
Once I get it into place, we'll see!
The reset bank can be touchy. And it needs to be seated squarely or you can get odd problems.
The secret is that the pivot is slotted. So you have to get it to clear the clamp points on the sides and seat into the frame. Once this is done you slide it forward(or back depending on your vantage point) into the slots on the frame. Then clamp down the wing nuts.
OK, I did that
Everything works as it should, ABCDE lights go out, rollover value changes as each corresponding letter goes out.
However, no red rollover lights!
When I had the reset bank swing out the red lights did work sometimes as I moved the bank in various positions.
Help!
