Your pics look to be at 15,000 position by looking at wiper contacts...yet the gear is one step away from the missing tooth. Seems you need to step the wiper contacts backward(clockwise) one rivet to put them in sync with the gear.

Hey, looking at that gear now you're 100% right! You have to cut that last tooth off and it should be correct. I would think a dremel tool or small file could work without having to take it apart. Good luck!
