I just brought home an abra cadabra and the power toggle switch doesn’t appear to do anything. Machine is always ok when connected to power. Is this as simple as it’s just a bad switch and I can test it with a mm or is it more complicated due to hold coils etc. this is my first em so I need to learn.

Could just be a bad switch, but unplug the machine if it’s not already, and take a pic of the switch on the inside. Then we can see how it’s wired. If the game is turning on regardless of switch position, there may be a problem. It may be they put a new switch somewhere different, although unlikely. It’s also possible they direct wired it to turn on with the mains bypassing the switch. Something an operator may do, rather than flipping fifty power switches they flip the power on at the wall and all power up together. But why not just leave the switches on? Anyways a good pic of the switch from inside the cab may help us. I’m sure those more knowledgeable than I will chime in.

Take a picture of the switch inside the cabinet and post it.

Got time to have a proper look at this today. Switch had been wired around and removed from the circuit. Now fixed.
