While in the middle of a game, the lights all went out & game stopped. It still was technically "on" because you could hear the humming. Turned off machine, unplugged, plugged back in, turned the switch on, and only normal humming sound - no lights. When coin is inserted, nothing happens but the normal humming sound. Anyone know what the problem could be?

Quoted from way2wyrd:

Check your fuses

First. Then if you find a blown one, check the value of the fuse and see if it was the proper amperage value. If was was undersized and it blew, you may not have an electrical fault which caused the fuse to blow. In that case, install one of the proper value, and you should be good to go. If you find a blown fuse that is the correct value for the circuit it's installed in, you likely have an electrical fault which needs to be isolated and repaired.
If you don't find a blown fuse, based on your description of what happened, the game may be stuck on tilt and maybe the "tilt" lamp is burned out.

Replaced the 24 volt 15 amp Buss fuse, turned pinball on & immediately that one burnt out. This is the correct value of fuse (matches label in pinball). Any ideas what to look for next?

Correction - the label in the pinball reads 24 volt 15 amp; replaced the fuse with a 32 volt 15 amp, which is what was originally in the pinball & never had a problem. Using the 32 vs. the 24 volt shouldn't make a difference, correct?

Correct, no problem.

Okay, so the fuse is not the problem. So where or what do I look for next?

I would unplug the playfield and backbox and see if it blows then.

If not plug one in and try again.

then plug the last in. Whichever blows the fuse is where to start looking. Make sure no screws are rolling around on the bottom board or by the jones plugs

So what's the outcome of your problem? Did you find a cause for the blown fuses?

Still tryin to figure it out. Think I have it down to the playfield, but now it seems to be stuck on tilt. Any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Check the slam switches, make sure they're open.
