I've got my 1966 Williams 8 Ball mostly running. in fact, it is playable in single player mode.
The issue now is trying to get 2 Two Player Mode.
(if you have enough games on the unit, or have inserted 2 coins) Normally you'd just push the Replay Button a
second time and that would engage the 2nd player, but nothing happens on my machine when I do that. Neither
does the replay counter count down nor does the 2nd player light come on in the back glass.

I can hold a couple of the switches on the Motor Cams up when pushing the replay button twice and then the
unit will go to 2nd player, but I can't quite figure out why that even works.

Any body out there familiar with Williams 2 players from 1966?

Thanks,

-Craig

p.s. I do have a schematic, but so far the 2nd player initiation has eluded me.

If the Replay button doesn't activate the Replay relay, Inspect and diagnose this circuit with Alligator clip jumper wires

Be careful, this is a 110 volt circuit.

Great game, I hope that you get it going soon!

Outstanding Mr R.! That is, as you know, my exact schematic. I can trace through the contacts there
and see what's going on with a VOM and a long clip lead. Appreciate the caution about the 110 Volt
circuit, definitely some risk there while powered. I'll be using the one hand method for much of my
troubleshooting.

You guys are really a wonderful resource. I hope to be of equal use sometime.

Thanks,
-Craig

p.s. My father (who recently passed) bought my brother and I that machine in about 1973.
It's been with my brother at his house since he married some 35 years ago and over the years
of entropy has become really non-functional. We're restoring it together. It was a fun game when
we played together before we had families. Now it's playable again (and maybe soon 2 player playable).
Working on it together is really rewarding, and of course it reminds us of our good times with our dad.
Not too bad.

If the 2nd Coin relay doesn't activate when it should, Check this switch and circuit.
