Enjoying this thread! I have the Grand Tour in your last photo of the different heads. Someone painted all of the colors blue... will have to repaint eventually. Like yours, my playfield is in really nice shape. Backglass, not so much.

One really annoying thing about Ballys from this generation is the shooter housing. Just plain metal-on-metal, no sleeves, no bushings. Yech. Was thinking of replacing it with a later-edition (but similar-looking) shooter.

Polish and clean the contacts in the 10-point relay, then check the gaps. Dirty contacts can chatter in point relays.

Also check your 10-point targets on the playfield and ensure they aren't bouncing/vibrating.

So glad to see these classic Ballys getting "The Treatment"!

Excellent job... but you used LED’s as GI and filament bulbs under the inserts? Have not seen that before. I do it the other way around.

Agreed I like filaments under clear inserts... just looks better than BULB RIGHT HERE! Though at the museum gotta do LED's under them for maintenance sake.

Hmmmm. Lemme know what you find. Maybe the Comet retros? Needs to be non-ghosting though.
