Hello fellow pinsiders, my problem started when I turned on the 1963 gaucho game and there was continuous clicking from back box and reset started, but a fuse blew up front when the score reel 2 didn't budge. I replaced the blown fuse, and now the restart relay coil moves and stays on, but nothing happens to the score motor. The score motor does nothing. But, the restart relay stays on and energized.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

But, no fuses Blow

Ken Layton, well it took me until about 12:30 in the am last night, but it was two fuse holders needing replaced. Kind of strange that all of a sudden, two fuse holders go bad at the same time. Anyhow, thank you Ken, For pointing me in the right direction.

Now for some reason, before I repaired the fuse holders, I manually advanced all score reels to 0. Well, after fixing the underlying issue, the bad fuse holders, the game went through all balls, just didn't reset score reels; actually, they didn't even budge. Perhaps the steppers associated with those functions are bad, or reset relay isn't hitting. I'm not familiar with the two steppers so I've included a picture. Perhaps, Ken or someone else could tell me which in the picture is which. Thanks in advance.

I do have a schematic, it's odd, when I reset it multiple times it will start a game maybe. But, it scores hundreds on the player 4 reel and 10s and 1s on the player one reel when certain playfield switches (bonus ball drain scores hundreds on reel for player 4). When the reset occurs, only player 4 reel resets, reels for player one do not reset. I have to keep setting those manually back to zero to start a new game, and battle the tilt reset.

I believe in looking for a short in the back box. I did move the game from upstairs down to the basement recently.

Here is a better picture of the relevant circuit in question.

Perhaps not a big issue, but while evaluating the score motor. On switch stack 1-a there is quite a large blue spark, even after cleaned and adjusted. I know that 1a is Not a switch in the relevant circuit, but that does mean there is a bad ac coil feeding that switch. Also, most of my sticker labels are gone. Because of the missing labels, and chance with the picture provided you could tell me where d1 is on the board?

Howardr, thank you! The score reels are all resetting now! The game goes through the entire restart and kicks out a ball about 60% of the time. It seems that the reset coils for the long relay bank are only tripping/activating once in a while; the other times, I push a broom handle in through the front because I'm tired of lifting the play field and manually tripping it. Hopefully, I can find out on my own why they are only sometimes getting power to reset the bank 60% of the time.
