Hello Everyone,
I recently won this Williams World Series Pitch & Bat at an estate auction. I am looking forward to restoring this machine. This is my first Pitch & Bat. I would appreciate it greatly for any of you that have experience with this machine to help me along with the restoration questions as it progresses. Below are the pics of the machine as found.
Thank you Steve in Texas and Scott Webb for helping me get started with a source for parts.

Congratulations on the game. From your pictures it all looks there except for the running men you told me about. Do you have a tumbler? Schematic? You will need both to get the parts nice and shiny.

The best thing is the plastic and Backglass parts are available for this game thanks to Shay. Scott Webb as you know makes valuable parts and all the coils are readily available from Steve Young at PBR.

I will be following. Post a picture of the area that the running men locate so we can clearly see what all is missing.

Advice to op you may want to ask the mods to move this to the em section. I have been advised previously that knowledgable em people sometimes don't look at other sub forums. The threads can move from view so fast.

Want you to get the assistance you need.

Hi Steve !
Thank you ! I am going to contact the moderators and see if they will change it for me. I tried to edit the post but it wont let me change the sub forum. I will send you and Scott the new link if they approve it.

Here are some pics of the problem areas of World Series. The wires from the control panel are cut (No Connector)from the batting handle & Pitch Button. Wires are off of Start Switch, The wire harness has cut wires which I think some of them went to the 3 missing counter meters. The 2 female connectors are on the harness. I will need to locate the male connectors. and sort out the wiring mess. If I cant locate the original connectors, what are your thoughts on using Molex or pinball style connectors ? Thanks.

Not too bad. The connector from the door was removed. Williams stopped using these type of connectors after this game and they are hard to find. I was able to get a longer one and cut it into three thanks to the generosity of Todd Newman aka newmantjn. I have one left so you can have it.

I will take pics how to fix it all and post over the weekend.

PM your address.

Hi Steve,
I forgot to take pics of the coin door wiring, I have it all taken apart for painting. The 3 prong male plug is on the coin door harness after looking at it. I just gotta figure out what plugs into the 2 prong female connector. I added a pic of the repro backglass for you to see. Thanks Steve ! =)

Was able to get everything out of the cabinet tonight. Just need to remove the side railings and copy the stencils and I can begin repairing the cabinet, replace missing wood ,sand it down and repaint it. Any easy way to remove the nails holding the side rails on ?
There is a white w/black stripe wire in the pics on the relay board on the left side just behind the score motor that is not connected to anything, any ideas where it goes ?
Also pics of the bells, knocker assy. & Wire harness with fuse block, tilt and playfield light.
A pic of the repro backglass with a close up of the ball players.

Hey Jetcom -
I won't be much help with a P&B, but I've favorited this topic and I'll be cheering you on. I want to play this in November! Nice backglass BTW.

This is on the Game Over relay and is the part of the 110V Bat coil power circuit. See the two pic's of where it goes. It's actually a white with a blue and black secondary color. You have a hack that needs removing. So follow that hacked brown wire that's connected to the bat coil switch and tell me what it connects to and we can strip it out.

You need a new 4 prong connector. I can make one. You will need to match the colors and solder on. I had to make all my moulding and wiring etc. So I have a piece to make one last 4 prong connector . It will work perfectly.

There are two wires as shown that go to the replay switch. See Pic.

The remaining wires are for the meters. Any 50 Volt meters work. I had a similar issue than you so i used some old 50's meters. I will change them to the right meters in time maybe. I will make you the connector so you don't use molex connectors .

Emailing the files for you to print out the front cards, (I used picture gloss paper and compared to originals and couldn't tell apart).

Also I will send the label files, print them on tan paper. All need cutting to size with scissors. The long labels are stuck to the metal relay covers with glue sticks.

Send me your postal address by a PM and The 4 pin connector will be in the post.

Hi Steve,
Thank you for the pics of your wiring. Here are some pics of the hacked area. The hack brown wire runs from the game over relay where the Wht/w blck or blue stripe wires should be over to the female jones plug to the front of the machine it is soldered first lug with an orange wire. If I am looking at your schematic correctly the wht w/blk/blue stripe wires should solder to the A528 "No Bat Coil" (110 V).
I looked over the rest of the relay board assembly and harness, the jones plug that goes to the running man unit has 2 broken off wires.
Also I am afraid there maybe a few more hacked wires in the harness. I will get pics of the concerned areas too.
This is my weakest thing is figuring out wiring issues, I can pick up on some things reading a schematic but cant fully understand one yet. Thank you for the help.
