I’m restoring a 1959 Gottlieb Around the World pin. The playfield repaint is almost done and I’m deciding on a paint color for the apron and upper arch. After 62 years I’m not sure what the original color is. Does anyone know? If not I’m looking at two slightly different colors (Navajo White and Dover White). The Navajo white looks closer to the existing color, but I’m not sure how it will look next to the repainted playfield. What would you go with.

Spray a bit of each on a piece of tin and compare to the original after they dry. I don't think the color of the card tray would fade very much. Use the one that most closely matches.

Look on the back side of the Apron, that will be the true color should there be any fading. Never noticed any fade on the apron, but in refinishing the doors of the era, they are usually faded on the outside with a more rich and dark color in the inside. Good luck

I sprayed both colors to make a comparison. The Navajo white is an almost perfect match for the existing original color.
