My father bought the United Tropicana in 1972 from an estate sale. It had sat for twelve years in a time capsule of a bar that had been sealed since 1960. I've kept it all these years and I'm finally letting it move on to a person that will likely be only its third owner. Still 99% functional even with many of its original light bulbs, the new owner is a collector of vintage video games branching out into his first EM Bingo machine.

I've written about it in a blog post: https://www.twobraids.com/2021/09/the-grand-old-lady.html

I'll be sad to see it go next week, but it's time for it go to someone who do more than just store it in a back room...

What a wonderful tribute. Really enjoyed your post and good for you for finding a caring next owner. So many of these machines never got that chance and met a different demise.
