Before I give up on these, can someone confirm they’re a lost cause?

My 1954 Gottlieb Jockey Club has two plastics (on the slingshots) that are warped, and the ink is rendering and literally dripping off the plastics onto the playfield.

I removed one to inspect, and the paint comes off on my fingers. (You can see my fingerprint in the plastic.)

There’s nothing I can do, correct?

Being warped and having lost alot of the finer artwork detail [originals as seen on the IPDB], personally I would replace. I see that the 'Shay Arcade Group' may have reproduction plastics. Alternatively someone may have a scan and you could try to make your own which is possible. Only need to scan one image and mirror artwork for the opposite sling.

See the below link.
