A friend came across this 1939 Chevron that looks pretty toasted, but I have no idea if it might be worth something. Any idea what a reasonable buy offer is for it in this condition? A price of $250 was mentioned but I don't think it is set in stone. His idea if he bought it would be to resell it for some profit, he doesn't own pinball machines. I don't see the legs in these pics so I don't know if they are there.

No, he just wanted to buy it for a low price and then try to sell it to someone for a bit more. It looks pretty beat up, like you said if its complete it might be an interesting restore project for someone. But I don't think there is much interest in this machine from this era.
