Just thought a Rock-Ola World Series Club would be a good thing for those of us that are getting their games back in shape... cosmetically & mechanically.
Nathan Thompson at Buckwerx.com has many parts & is a super nice guy. He visited with me on the phone helping with what parts I needed & on how to go about re-doing the cabinet. He emailed how to mix which colors for the cabinet. (I'll past below)
"Walmart stocks an acrylic art paint that can be mixed to look very similar to the original (lead) paint
5 parts Folk Art 667 gunmetal gray metallic
1 part Folk Art 653 Emerald green
Mix thin with windex about 1 to 1 to thin (it’s still too thick to airbrush, but it can be done with an touch up sprayer)
Darken with Folk Art black if you are matching existing paint
The paint is a little soft, so I put a couple of coats of clear spray-varathane over it as a protective layer."
So... let's see some pictures & any tips, ideas or questions you have on this game. It's really pretty engenious how this game operated with no electricity... just a mechanism.
