I recently bought a project Bally Goofy game and am working on bringing it back to operation. It's just about there except for the ball loading mechanism. When a game is started, the balls are released from the playfield and roll down to the 'ball loader'. However, there is a rod that gets pushed into the path of the balls in the trough where they feed into the loader. What is the purpose of that rod? What's happening is that once the rod is pushed into the trough, the balls don't roll into the ball loader. How does that rod mechanism operate? Also, if anyone has photos on how the mechanism is supposed to configured, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help.

can you post some pics of how yours is set up?

I would need to disassemble the playfield again to get a pic. However, at this point, as I am able to load balls ok, with the occasional retry to load a ball, I'm hesitant to disturb it. If I open it up again, I'll be sure to upload pics. Thanks.

I suspect you need a new spring on the loader rod from your description
