Quoted from 1956PINHEAD:

For Who-Dey & guss, I went on line today and took a look at MBR out of curiosity due to some of the prior posts and knowing Who-Dey was trying to decide which way to go, Munster's or MBR. If it helps I will offer up one of the significant descriminators for me if I was trying to decide would be DMD Vs actual modern display user interface.
Having played both (like most of us these days) I just find it real hard to buy a NIB game with a DMD user interface. I know perhaps the DMD in MBR is an attempt to keep the remake true to its roots, but man there is just no comparison in how the newer interface just adds to the overall pinball experience of a new game. Perhaps others posting here can weigh in as well with their views on this or other aspects, but this one difference would move me to Munsters. Having this game for 3 weeks now and having played almost 300 games on it you might get the idea I really really enjoy this game, and play it everyday. I hope this helps.

I'm not as sold on the "modern display". If I want a modern display I will play the XBox One. I do like the colored dots tho compared to the non-colored. The modern display also leads to "cheating" the development cycle with using movie clips but then games where they have to create animations makes me feel like they are slacking somewhere else in the game's development to compensate for the extra time to create animations. I really want to play both these games side by side tho. MGC should be a good chance.

Quoted from GamerRick:

I haven’t found a solution to the shaker problem yet so just leaving on minimal for now. Even that is still a lot on super jackpot but at least my pin isn’t walking across the floor anymore

Several options:
1. Move the two weights so that they do not line up with one another, try 180 degrees apart.
2. Remove one of the weights
3. Trim weights

The shaking force is a function of motor speed and off balance MR (mass times the radius i.e. the further off center that mass rotates the greater the MR and greater the force for a given motor speed)

The window should polish easy.

What are Premium owners choosing for side blades?

How many balls are installed in this game? I don't have mine yet.

#2858 5 years ago

That's it... I'm pulling all the bulbs and only playing in the dark. Dimples... hazing... What else do I need to worry about.

What do you figure this error means? Pretty sure there is no switch 35.

Quoted from Spacemanratso09:

I’ve yet to have a epic game on this table
It’s hard for me man it so fast and brutal
Flusters me
I had the walking dead for years and this game is taking me to where I was with that game
This game man if it wasn’t a comedy I would want to kick the door in and chop the thing up sometimes I love it too much

I'm feeling the opposite... Far easier than TWD but I'm just starting to learn the rules

#3227 5 years ago

Lower playfield window is plastic... If\when it gets foggy then polish it... Both sides of needed.

#3338 5 years ago

Never had a ball stuck on my lower playfield.

#3356 5 years ago
Quoted from ShinyBall:

Me either
no scoop problems also

I've never had a problem with my Grandpa scoop either... In fact, I have the opposite. I hit that scoop too often.

I did have a problem with shots on the lower playfield right ramp registering. yancy had a suggestion in another thread to put a piece of plastic above the opto sensor to prevent the ball from jumping the sensor. I did this and now I get every shot registering.

Quoted from DeathHimself:

Here are a few shots of the Little Shop of Games protectors on the premium leaving all of the original hardware installed as well
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Hmmm... I've never used plastic protectors but my plastic up near Herman (your 3rd pic) broke. I might have to try these now.

OK. I'll have to go this route. I don't know anything about remotes. Looks like I'm going to learn. Something else to buy. And a remote control to lose

Yes... Remotes can be intimidating.

#3537 4 years ago
Quoted from DeathHimself:

You could always wait until the new code drops

exactly, or a cheap painters plastic tarp and move it in.

Yeah... It won't melt. Despite what that other thread says... It's not made of shit.

#3539 4 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

Exactly, only the code is made of shit, not the actual game.

LoL.. You must have read that other thread. I made the mistake of posting in it, only to realize that was not a constructive thread.

Careful with your tone... We may have to boot you too the other thread.

Other thread??? What thread.......

Worst code ever thread where they mostly bash the game. I was mostly joking with my comment, btw.

Got a new Grand Champion score today.

IMG_20190505_172005 (resized).jpgIMG_20190505_172005 (resized).jpg

But I thought the Munster Madness score was more impressive.

I've been working toward a Super Jackpot champion score. Missed Doozie today. Had 7 Super Jackpots ready, playfield multiplier was way up there. I hit Kittie several times after both the 2&3 multiplier lights were lit but I drained before hitting Super Jackpot.

What is the limit on multipler? How do I know where I'm at once there 2 & 3 are lit?

#3685 4 years ago
Quoted from cooked71:

6x. Was just thinking that also - how to tell once above 3x?

But I keep adding after both those are lit?

#3698 4 years ago
Quoted from Puffdanny:

The multipliers go 2x,3x,6x(both lit)you need to keep hitting kitty every once in a while or the multiplier times out.

That seems to make sense. Kitty would light and I would still have both 2x & 3x lit (may have been flashing, don't recall for sure). I'd keep hitting kitty and 2x & 3x would stay lit.

#3709 4 years ago
Quoted from JoeJet:

All the premium games I have seen the window to the lower playfield was dirty or cloudy. Also see many having to remove the window for cleaning.
My ACDC Premium has been in my home for years and never had to remove the window for any reason. Is there something different about the window for Munsters?
Thanks.

All the Premium games that I've seen are crystal clear. I had an ACDC and removed the window several times to clean it... Finally sold it with a dirty window.

#3736 4 years ago

30mil super Jackpot score tonight

#3739 4 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

It feels good when you cash in a nice one.like that! Not as easy as it sounds like either is it?

Not easy at all. I've had bigger but was unable to cash it in.

#3909 4 years ago

Pinside sure had become a bunch of whiners. Like you could not see a color premium coming? Really

#3911 4 years ago
Quoted from jfh:

I hope that B/W Premiums will still be an option NIB. I don’t
want a color Premium.

Regardless of what's an option... The Pinside will complain.

B&W Prem is the way to go, btw. I'm not knocking the LE either.

#3947 4 years ago
Quoted from GamerRick:

I betcha LE resale will be affected downward price wise since now you can get a color premium.

I betcha cannot prove it either way.

#3983 4 years ago

You know.... The surprise of a color Prem.

#3985 4 years ago

Additionnaly, PRE/LE 1.00 have these :

Fixed:
- The lower timer will no longer time down after Mystery awards Start Spot,
Start Enlarging Ray, or Start Raven.
- Skill shot timer was lasting after Grandpa Multiball started.
- Removed right spinner from list of switches that need to be fixed.

New:
- Added lower playfield ball popper lamp effect when the ball is popping out

Removed:
- Announcement of color Premium version

#3988 4 years ago
Quoted from J-drum11:

Ok not issues! Haha
In other words.....
Have the last couple updates made people a little happier?

There is no making Pinside happier.

#4006 4 years ago
Quoted from GamerRick:

If everyone agreed what Stern did was fine, we wouldn’t be discussing it would we?

Complainers will complain.

#4017 4 years ago
Quoted from JMCFAN:

No really don't get it... as a car guy...Dodge releases a RT ....then a SRT...then a Hellcat...then a Demon...and then the next year model comes out.. just buy what you like...

Yeah... Damn Corvette. Had they announced the mid engine Corvette 10 years ago, I would have waited.

#4018 4 years ago

Stop trying to make sense of this. I need every manufacturers 10 year plan before I do anything.... From now on.

#4026 4 years ago

Premium versions have always had the same playfield as LE until the B&W Munsters Prem.

#4029 4 years ago

Darn...Darn...Darn

Was that evident upon release? I was not aware, I may (or may not) have bought an LE had I known or not known of that one.

#4036 4 years ago
Quoted from chuckwurt:

Do your homework and you won’t be disappointed in the future.

Loving my B&W Prem. Don't care much for the color, personally.

Now why am I having troubles updating the code... Grrr

#4038 4 years ago
Quoted from GamerRick:

What’s the issue you are having?

mostly reading. I tried to do things like I did when I updated Met or at least how I remember doing them. Then I read this: https://sternpinball.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/How-to-Create-a-SD-Card-for-a-SPIKE-System-Pinball-Machine.pdf

Seems to be going good now.

#4069 4 years ago
Quoted from Who-Dey:

If that happens im going to throw a fit!

Me to. I saw it nowhere on their 10 year plan.

#4071 4 years ago

My Herman plastic broke... Where can I get a replacement?

#4095 4 years ago
Quoted from GamerRick:

Just call stern. They sent me one right away.

Emailed Stern support. Chas is sending me the updated parts.

#4113 4 years ago
Quoted from JMCFAN:

The new code did not fix the countdown issue in the LP

Here too.

#4122 4 years ago

None of my scores saved.

#4129 4 years ago
Quoted from GamerRick:

Was it that you had to turn on save all settings maybe before updating? Not sure.

I don't know. My scores got erased but I as kinda looking forward to it, initially. Now that I start playing it is getting old. I've probably hit 8 high scores in one game... Herman champion, Lilly champion, Grandpa champion, combo champion, spot champion, munster madness champion, etc...

Of course, I started over in skill level for some reason too so I beat the score each game instead of putting down an impressive score and working to beat it... I put down a pathetic score followed by another pathetic score and another... all of them "champion". I did not experience this before cause the game was at MGC prior to me taking it home and I had to work toward the champion scores.

#4132 4 years ago

I think that the Pro games got a goodie bag... I did not with my Prem.

#4138 4 years ago

It seems as tho early Premiums did not have a goodie bag. I am certain that I did not

#4150 4 years ago
Quoted from cooked71:

Make that 6. Link?

Make that 7.

#4526 4 years ago

I pretty much play the lower since it is the quicker flipping playfield... Chances are I hit something on top as well when I concentrate on the lower.

Quoted from Who-Dey:

Mine isn't for sale and never will be

I would like to sell mine. I want a Dialed In and don't really want to add another game. I gave my little guy the option of what to sell Met Prem or Mun Prem... He said Munsters.

Quoted from cpr9999:

Question:
If you had a chance for “Eddie Munster” to sign your pinball machine:
A. Would you?
B. If yes, where?
Thx!

He signed a Pro translite for me. I have a b&w Prem.
