Lame ass YouTube blocking the video due to copyright shit. I’ll post a link of the video to my Google Drive this morning. Youtube is sometimes playing the video and sometimes blocking it.

Nicely done! I’m not hearing the audio though?

How did you get it on the machine? Did you have to add it to the factory SD card? Or is this on a copy of the factory SD card software then enhanced and placed on a new SD card?

I luv the wrecking ball scene.. That should have been in this pin fore sure.

procedure done for modding is to download the sd-card image from stern, then modify it with pinball browser and write this to a new sd-card.
when done like this you will keep your original system and just change it out to the modded one.
Settings and scores can be transfered via usb stick and the technical menu -> util -> Save/Load

Thanks, I can provide this to anyone who wants it. You would write the image to a new SD card.

Unfortunately, the only attract mode scene that has audio is the monsters opening scene that has the music and song. Since Stern doesn’t have audio for the videos I replaced, they have to remain silent as well. But it does give you some nice eye candy in the room when your games are not being played.

You only have the update for the Pro correct?

Quoted from JimB:

Yes, but working on the Premium/LE today and tomorrow since my friend is taking his game back this week.

#11606 1 year ago

Attract mode code is finished for Munsters Premium / LE. These versions get one extra attract video and I used Herman practicing golf in the house.

My Munsters pro came with a few mods already on it including the mod couple Grandpa Electric chair mod. Sadly, I think Eddie has been gnawing on his limbs.

Does anyone know of a figure that'll fit? or have a 3d print file of one? It doesn't bother me enough to buy a new one ( I'm in the UK so would probably be $200 by the time it got here ) plus of course its not actually strong enough to survive the environment ( proof above ) and would more than likely get destroyed again anyway.

Does anyone know where to get a left cabinet decal for the premium color version?

Stern still should be able to have them.

Playing TMNT and I heard the voice of Marilyn doing a few callouts. So I was right when I thought Marilyn sounded like a man impersonating a woman.

Munsters 3D Led Lighted Topper. Not game interactive but it looks pretty good.

Love the topper! Now if you can get an alternate translight that doesn't have The Munsters on it it would look great. Halloween took Halloween off the backglass on CE's so that wouldn't happen.

So I’ve been really getting into my Munsters lately. Pro version set up hard and fast, back legs way up, out lanes all the way open. I typically play “impossible play”. All I can say is in these conditions the game is very challenging and is definitely increasing my skill level.

In comparison to my walking dead pro that was set up by a nationally ranked player Munsters can be bit more challenging.

It’s a fantastic game. I have the premium n love it. When they did those last couple of updates really brought it out and I’ve noticed it’s been going up in the rankings. Just an all around great pin to have.

I love that one too. But yeah. IC update only.

That said, I am glad that they are trying to keep all pins on the latest software framework version.

It makes it more feasible and likely that better updates could arrive in the future!

I have to clean the lower playfield. it seems foggy. in your opinion, is it best to drop out the playfield or pull the lens? I see people saying both ways.

#11626 12 months ago

well, I can answer my own question. removing the lower playfield was super easy. WHoel thing took only a couple minutes and that included figuring out what to do, removing it, cleaning it, & replacing it. I'm sure it's been said in this thread but it was hard to find buried in all the shit talk / sticking up for the lower playfield.

unplug these 3 quick disconnects
2023-04-29 14.26.58-marked (resized).jpg2023-04-29 14.26.58-marked (resized).jpg

use a nut driver to remove these 2 nuts & the 2 identical ones on the other side
2023-04-29 14.29.32-marked (resized).jpg2023-04-29 14.29.32-marked (resized).jpg

then it just lifted out. the mini pinballs sat on a ledge where the lens meets the playfield. when I put it back together, I dropped them into "The Machine". there's a cover there so it held them nicely while I position the lower playfield back into place.

about the lower playfield, though I think it's dumb on my AC/DC, I love it on this machine.

about cleanings the lens, totally worth it. night & day difference.

#11627 12 months ago

by the way, got the ball hung up on spot today. don't think I ever noticed it happen before. I couldn't shake it loose but eventually the machine closed spot & it was free.

Has anyone replaced their return spring in the Munster's topper with a stiffer spring? I posted about this a year ago and continue to have a cookoo clock door that won't close fully after opening. The original spring fractured, and I replaced it with a compression spring that I thought would work but it just hasn't gotten the job done. Need something the same length and diameter, just a little stiffer. Any part number would be helpful. The current spring I have in there is 2.5" long and goes around the metal coil plunger as it should.

For reference, see my original post #10711 in this forum. Thanks!

Sorry, don't have a part number, but I can comiserate. I have been toying with the idea of changing springs or downsizing the coil, as the action of the coil is very violent. And I am afraid eventually something is going to break. Worst case scenario one of the plastics cracks. Check out McMaster-Carr online (www.mcmaster.com). Their selection is large, the search functions are great, and they ship quick.

Anyone have an issue with air balls constantly? Even with flipper power turned to soft? The premium my uncle acquired has flying balls every fee seconds it seems. You hit a target and it with fly all the way back over the sling shot plastics etc. Just seems to be quite strong. When flipper power was normal or high it really popped everywhere.

One relatively easy thing to check is the level of your lower playing field plastic window. If there is a mis-match, you will like get all kinds of airballs. There have been several posts in this thread about getting this level.

Thank you. I will check that out and search the thread for it. I wasn't thinking about that lower plexi playfield being the culprit.

#11639 11 months ago

Here's ho the Grandpa figurine turned out. I left he base & dremeled a couple slots in the bottom of it so it would slide over the original brackets that were holding the plastic. then I used some double sided tape in the front to hold it down. I had the file down his cape in the back a little so it didn't hit the plastic behind it. I spray painted the base to cover the name & the area in the back I filed. when I tightened the plastic behind it back down, I uses a small nut as a spacer to raise it a little & give me clearance.

Hello if anyone is intersted in "easy install" button armor that looks similar to the Stern munsters armor. Feel free to check out the "Munsters deLuxE" armor interest thread.

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/potential-interest-thread-for-munsters-deluxe-snap-on-armor#post-7600498

basically gauging interest to see if I should continue working on an armor for munsters. Heres what I have so far but not sure if there woudl be enough interest to finishing up the prototyping etc and adding this to my list of "deLuXe" armors.

Happy memorial day everyone, especially to our veterans, and those families and friends of our fallen heros.
