I'm aware it's different based on the version of the game. On the LE Enlarging Ray no longer happens when coming out of the laboratory. What's the point of sticking enlarging ray as a chattering teeth award if it does nothing on the LE but constantly causes the mode to run on the PRO? That's the point I'm trying to make.

Jack even says while in raven multiball why is enlarging ray happening. It makes no sense and awarded no points. Then at 1:44 he lights it again while still in raven multiball. Now imagine you are on the pro. Now you have had the grandpa mode start twice while in raven. Makes no sense. That's my point but I guess no one else sees it so oh well.

Since I can’t get a stern Wolfie shooter, figured I’d ask here, any advise on some shooter rod options for Munsters? I’ve seen quite a few but honestly they don’t feel like the right one.

I ordered a Herman Munster shooter rod from TILTGRAPHICS n it is very nice it’s 90$ n I’m very impressed with it.

Exactly said. I’m grateful for the update n love it yes there’s always a few things that will need tweaking but I’m so happy we haven’t been forgotten n there’s still one more code update for insider connect n most likely they will do some polishing then on it.

Man it’s gotten quite on here. Any body got to play further in the new code or been to busy to play like I have. Work is killing me has anyone updated there rateing talk to me my people is there anybody left out there. LOL LOL

I hear you ! I loaded the recent code update and like the improvements. Had a play around with the new 'DJ Mixer' mode and had it running for some time to listen to all the tracks. Great feature.

I agree it’s absolutely a blast to play n if they do a little more polishing on the insider connect update that would be even more fantastic I’m happy with what they did so far. I finally got to play a couple of times last night on mine n a couple of games on my guardians of galaxy. I finally got my pin stadium lights on my Munsters premium n wow it’s unbelievable the way it brings all the color out in this pin.

When I upgraded to 1.03 and then 1.10 my bar guy thought there were tons of new content at each upgrade. Lots of gameplay clips used were not seen before

If you leave your spike 1/2 games on, you'll hear the fans kick in every so often and just hum/spin HARD.
On route, whatever, in the home, I get it. However I would just be cautious for any warranty work/claims etc this mod opens up the psu to replace.... do at your own risk, or know it voids the warranty (given there may not be any issues doing it what so ever)

I tried couch potato mode, very fun. I think and it seemed like it is 1 player only? I had 2 credits but it wouldn't add p2. However on JP pro with escape nublar, you can do a normal 4 player game in that mode. I hope people try it on route! Stern should almost make a print out Op's can hang at/near the machine to inform players what that mode is and how to get in to try.

MOVED TO SYSTEM 3.01:
Updated to nodeboard firmware v0.81.0

Added Standard Adjustment "LCD DISPLAY BRIGHTNESS" to allow dimming of LCD
display.

Added Standard Audit "Total Power Ons" which will display the number of
time the machine has been power cycled (Spike2 only). This audit was
added in system 2.45 and is not included for display.

When starting a game ramp the backbox GI from "ATTRACT MODE B.BOX
BRIGHTNESS" to "GAME PLAY B.BOX BRIGHTNESS".
When ending a game ramp the backbox GI from "GAME PLAY B.BOX BRIGHTNESS" to
"ATTRACT MODE B.BOX BRIGHTNESS".

New Standard Adjustment "START BUTTON ATTRACT MODE ILLUM."
This adjustment, which is only available and active when the game is in
FREE PLAY mode, controls the behavior of the Start Button Light.
Values are:
"ALWAYS OFF" - Start Button Light is always off when in attract mode.
"BLINKING" - Start Button Light will blink when in attract mode. This
is the DEFAULT and previous behavior.
"ALWAYS ON" - Start Button Light is always on when in attract mode.

Update TARGET_GAME_TIME adjustment to ensure a minimal ball saver even after
the target game time is met.

Do not display LOCATING NODE BOARD at boot when coin door interlock switch
has disabled node board power.

Improve backbox and cabinet audio synchronization.

Update the HSTD reset counter when the Standard Adjustment is changed. Added TARGET_GAME_TIME adjustment, accessible when the BALL_SAVE_TIME
adjustment is enabled.
TARGET_GAME_TIME enables a multi-use ball saver, whose duration is
dynamically calculated for each ball to help ensure the player has
a guaranteed amount of play time per game.
TARGET_GAME_TIME has a range of 1m 30s to 3m 00s and defaults to
NO_TARGET_TIME (disabled).
When disabled a traditional single-use BALL_SAVE_TIME ball saver will be
used for each ball in play.
When enabled the first ball of play will have a multi-use ball saver of
BALL_SAVE_TIME sec. The second ball will have a multi-use ball saver
which is 25% of (TARGET_GAME_TIME - player_game_time).
The third and beyond will have a multi-use ball saver which is 50% of
(TARGET_GAME_TIME - player_game_time).

No, it has not been seen yet. We need two things:
1. A way to increase percentage of it happening in menu
2. More than 1 mystery award per game.

Or just make it a mode attainable by hitting certain objectives.

I 3D printed the fan cooler, but I'm waiting on connectors so I wired it to an external supply. The power supply 'jet engine' fan never turned on. Nice and quiet!

Having one mystery award per game makes no sense, especially since it's lit automatically and usually collected within seconds of play on ball 1.

Today while cleaning my PRO, I noticed the right side opto on the left ramp was broken off its cheap plastic mount. There's no way its beam was shining through the tiny hole in the side of the metal ramp for god knows how long?!

Is this a known issue on munsters? Go check yours now.

It seems that the opto board on the right side of the left ramp is very vulnerable to ball hits AND the mount holding the opto board to the hole is very weak and fragile.

Does stern sell this little plastic opto bracket?

And my exact same ramp opto mount is broken so the opto no longer shines through the hole.

What did you do to fix this?

Yes, this was a known issue and stern has a kit fix for it…. Let me look it up

Straight up folks…Munsters is pretty sweat. Just cleaned and waxed a recent pickup and this thing is playing fast with tremendous flow. I can understand people may not like how shallow this game is, but a) you get to feel like a professional player for a second when you’re crushing Munster madness all the time, b) it’s easy to explain to friends and very approachable, and c) when some says “what do you mean by ‘buttery smooth’ shots?” You can simply tell them to play some munsters.

I replaced the sensor/opto and stern has a plastic #19 they call it, that now covers that area. If you ask stern or your distributor for the left ramp opto and plastic fix, they’ll know. Specially with a picture

there is this replacement post, that will help that the wireform will not deform. It will also help the wireform stays away from the opto.
On my machine the wireform sheared of a cable on the opto as it was bent too much inward.

Thanks guys! I will look at the wire form and see if it is bent. As a temp fix, I super glued the round part of the opto to the metal ramp and also the opto boards bottom to the wireform. I tested it and it works now! I haven't played the game yet but it seems to be a solid temp fix. I can undo this quick fix easily when I get the right parts. Who sells the 3d printed parts?

i did put the post on thingiverse for people to print. Some guy did sell them for a moderate price some time ago. But maybe if you ask around somone will be maybe willing to print for material cost, postage and some little extra.
i did buy a extra opto too for my munsters ramp, but a year later my temp fix with the soldered cable is still installed

I printed and installed the 3D part maybe a year ago, no issues (but home use). The other thing I did was to use some of those little zip tie things to secure the wires so they can't move around if by chance they get hit (unlikely).
