Who gets to keep the game?

    #328 1 year ago

greatwichjohn I might be interested, depending on the offer. Do you have a business plan? Who gets to keep the pin in the end?

What is your process on aligning on a theme?

What sort of governance will you be implementing to safeguard a return on investment. How was previous bankruptcy come into play?

    Quoted from greatwichjohn:

Only day 3 looking for a great whale or investor at $100k US. Some people in the know have a good idea of basic costs of about $10k US in material cost, more for bling, + assembly cost. There is also all the other costs involved in a one of a kind pimped out license pin. If a whale is found & they prefer the game not to be shown in Texas in March 2023. That will be ok with me.
Again no money is going into my hands during my personal bankruptcy! No pre payment in full. If the whale is found the money will be be on performance levels of production. Want a phone call let me know for USA or Canada.
This is only the early stage to see if a whale can be found. The other alternative is to use a proven home brew pin that has not gone into production. I am open to different ideas. People know how to reach me here or by phone.

greatwichjohn what is the license? Do you have one in mind?

    Quoted from greatwichjohn:

There is a licensed game planned & Dave Fix knows exactly that at American Pinball. The actual build start is Sept. 1, 2022 for finish date by March 2023 to go to Texas (SXSW & TPF). Not going to change my looking for $100k US Big Whale buyer of the only blinged out pinball. I plan on having a big badge with a huge whale, with 1 of 1. The artist & designer are dependent on a big whale being found.
Plan B: Mini Whales at $10k will be more like a stern pro model. Likely a home brew that already plays well with new art package. There are lots of people interested at that level. Only a small group will be selected & I will go by those who have reached out with serious interest.
Cabinets will be built here in Halifax. Might be something new for the big whale or mini whales. Time will tell. I had a nice afternoon on a bar patio Sunday, 4 draft beer for those that like a running total. My wife likely had her usual 4-6 bud cans at home.

What about a whale that’s good at art, that could be more cost effective?

Again. What is the theme @greatwichjohn? Is it finalized or to be agreed in conjunction with the investor?

Too much evasive communication from the topic creator - I wouldn’t have faith in ongoing project progress updates. Any interest I had is now gone. I’m out.

    Quoted from sgtski1978:

Not a laywer but, posting about how you're going through a bankruptcy on a public forum while also trying to solicit $100k for a dream hobby probably isn't a good route. Courts and creditors have a strange way of finding this stuff out and there might be a chance that if somehow you get this money, you'll be back on their radar. Just sayin' (and it's just my opinion... I have no experience)

Didn’t he say something to the effect of money being separate?

    Still searching out my Whale.

    Ok Captain Ahab.

I wonder if the theme is Moby Dick, and this is some sort of meta teaser.

Moby Dick is in the public domain. All jokes aside, it could make for a good theme if done right.
