Real world advise
Go get a bank loan and put your future at risk like every other small business owner. Own a house? leverage it.
If you cant secure a bank loan for 100K (which is next to nothing for banks) then you are in no position to run a company or a project to begin with.
Quoted from jake35:But, but... that's what whales are for!!
or mini whales!! micro whales? sea monkeys?
heres the thing... whale investors expect to make money. lots of it, to justify their risk.
They don't do vanity projects.
This is the kind of thing you have to be willing to go broke on yourself and if you aren't why would anyone invest in you?
Quoted from PinlordMarc:You're definitely bragging, guy. Congrats on your 7 figure net worth (many times over).
Main things I get from this thread is some of you hate "rich people" which is odd in a hobby that is grossly expensive. May as well get on a boat owners site and yell at them while you are at it.
If you own any pins at all or can afford this hobby you are rich in real world terms sorry...
Second, people are mad about beer? or because he drinks beer? He's Canadian for fucks sake.
Quoted from NEW-B:Nobody is hating rich people, but there was definitely some humble brag in that post.
And? who gives a shit.
Not every person with money is oppressing you or an asshole. This hobby and board are full of people with money... its an expensive hobby. duh.
Dude wants to brag who cares... he's probably not even a whale nevermind a "big whale" in this OPs eyes anyways.
Quoted from pickleric:Might as well put blinking lights in a cab with a cool art package and sell it as an art piece.
Works for JJP... ayyyyooooooo
Quoted from iceman44:How did you arrive at the $100k number?
I think it's known as having little to no plan and pulling a number out of your ass?
People always use round numbers when they have no clue.
Quoted from gjm:I really wish this thread would be locked down, I know I can drain it but my point on locking it down is because we don't need this site to become an open door for "money solicitation" for everybody's individual business idea.
I'd like someone else's money too and I also have no real solid ideas or business plan to back it up.
Fork it over rich whale people.
