Looking for a person with money for a prototype fully working & pimped out pinball game. It will be a one of a kind licensed game that either moves into production, or dies to be come the one & only game. David Fix of American Pinball was told what I am interested in at Pintastic Show last week. He will get first crack at if interested. If not it gets floated to other parties, or dies as a one of a kind prototype. This can be realistically done with a tiny group of people with the needed skills. I have people already lined up for this to happen. Please contact me privately about this, & it should be finished March 2023.

Yes I talked with a knowledgeable person at the show along with David Fix. Told me the way to go is the rich people that usually do not post here, but see what is going on. People know that I can get numerous pinball pieces done, & I can get a fully working game done. $100k US is a reasonable goal for a one of a kind licensed pinball machine. If it moves into production it will be a win for those involved.

    YES!
    This is a slam dunk!
March 2023 cant come soon enough!

    #9 1 year ago

Oh shit. This will be fun.

    #10 1 year ago

John, I wish you the best. However, are you the one behind the deeproot puzzle? It's all coming together.

Is this a Retheme or 100% original?

Are you saying that you HAVE a specific license,
Or you want the investor to pay for a specific license you have set up,
Or you will build any licensed game the investor suggests,
    Or something else?

Watch at the 26 minute mark. I always like the people here that say I do not know or work with people in the pinball industry. All I need is one investor that wants to remain silent if it either moves into production or dies as a finished prototype. I will not get into the title of license which is available. It will be a original, & should be a very interesting license theme! Like I said I need only one investor for this prototype, & the money will flow only as the project moves forward.

    #18 1 year ago

So, no teaser pics or any details on the theme??

    #19 1 year ago

So have you completed the game and need this money to secure the license? Or is the money to pay you to create a pinball game?

I recommend potential investors read through one of his playfield threads.

I came here to say this

    #22 1 year ago

    Who will be the designer?

    #23 1 year ago

Feel free to research me personally, & my past pinball production the last 15 years. Lost a shit load of money doing stuff. But in the end a lot of stuff was done by me & my contractors. I have a very good reputation with pinball parts suppliers, & those in the industry. Now that I am retired, I will focus on the goal I always wanted to do. A licensed 1 of a kind pinball machine, that may move into production or die. Who knows, but any whale is not concerned about $100k if he is a multi millionaire. This game will be pimped out. This is not a Jpop hair brained idea. I have a very small shared work shop to get this pinball done. Along with numerous contractors & suppliers for the needed parts.

    #24 1 year ago

So is the 100K is to pay you for your time for the production of one game that hasn't been designed yet?

    Quoted from greatwichjohn:

So now it's time to lose someone else's money making a one-off that will maybe sorta "die"? You do only need one, I guess, and a sucker is born every minute (maybe 2 a minute on pinside).

The snarkiness about rich people and whales is strange - plenty of guys on here have $$$, but that tone is not going to get you close to it...

I know a few multi-millionaires. They must be the exception and not the rule, as they would be concerned about 10k, let alone 100k to fund a guy and his dream of building a toy.

I do wish you the best of luck finding your huckleberry, but to be honest, I am still a little confused as to what a 100k make a wish is actually doing.

Why do a license for a one off? Are you trying to get an option of some kind on the license In case this home brew draws interest along the lines of Sonic or Archer?

    Quoted from greatwichjohn:

This is not a Jpop hair brained idea

Just to be candid, this sounds similar to what JPop tried with Kiss…design a one off game (or in the case of JPop’s Kiss…get someone to do the art package of a game…) of a potentially desirable license to try and get a job.

    Quoted from greatwichjohn:

but any whale is not concerned about $100k if he is a multi millionaire.

You are fundamentally wrong about this statement…and the approach is likely insulting to your target audience, you are basically asking rather directly for “dumb money”…something the “whales” try hard not to be.

Frankly, it sounds like you are openly soliciting for someone to be your patron, not an investor. This is a weird thread, to say the least.

The person is out there. Like I said a prototype licensed finished build can be done. It either goes into production or dies as a one of one production. The person who invests would like it to be the only one. But there is a chance that it could go into production. Over the years I have been in contact with parties interested in joining the pinball production club.

    #33 1 year ago

Jfc this will end badly. Anyone wanna give me 100K? I'll build them a one of a kind machine. No guarantee on wtf it will be but have faith! Could it be a retheme of the sharpshooter in my garage that I got for free? Who knows! Send PayPal now to find out!

Then why are you posting here?

    #35 1 year ago

I remember reading a study once that said the vast majority of those who gave money to panhandlers lived either at-or-below the poverty level themselves.

So what’s the moral? Wealthy people (INTELLIGENT wealthy people) are not easily parted with their money.

    That’s why they’re rich.

You guys are a laugh. I have no problem showing all my cards to a true whale. There are lots of them out there, & very few are posting their stuff here in the public. I personally know a group here, & not asking them to get involved. You need to be a risk taker, & have no concerns about $100k.

    #37 1 year ago
    Quoted from greatwichjohn:

The person who invests would like it to be the only one

    Wait, what?
Doesn't the investor WANT the game to go into production, so they get a return on their investment?
Or are you saying the person providing the funding just loses their money no matter what happens?

    #38 1 year ago
    Quoted from MaxIsDead:

Please change your name to Maxamillion*S* to be more clear. Please also give me 13K for a TBL I'll give you 50% of the coin drop until you're repaid plus 10% or until one of us dies. This is my final offer.

See John that's how you do it. BRB going to start a thread to fund a dollar bill acceptor for it.

    #39 1 year ago

Is this actually a proposal? WTB whale with cash.. advertiser has self admitted to losing a shit load of money, says nothing about timeline, name drops, provides little detail, lives outside of the United States, so it's a no for me dawg.

The way you keep saying "isn't concerned about 100k" is concerning. It's almost as if you are intentionally going to burn it down. I'm a business investor and I wouldn't give you a penny. The way you speak shows a lack of respect for investment.

BTW, if there is anyone out there that is considering this... I'll do it for 99k.

Repeatedly calling your investor a whale is not at all endearing to your cause.

You might as well say "I am looking for a sucker with lots of money", because that's what you are coming off like.

    19
    #45 1 year ago

As a multi-multi millionaire, I can assure you we care very much about where to allocate $100k.
The only way to have interest in investing in a situation like this would require proof of manufacturing ability.
Anyone can drop $100k to make a prototype, but designing a game is like 15% of the whole picture. If you don’t have a plan for manufacturing then what’s the point?

Does anyone remember which night they run the special on oysters? I'm guessing Thursday.

    #48 1 year ago

No oysters & guiness tonight. I did have 6 draft at my local watering hole, & my birthday is July 1. Everyone knows I like beer. Nice summer night out on the patio. The person that gets involved will have a detailed idea of the finished pinball game. Not a box of lights, that does not play fully. Dave Fix was told at the show, & I know he will keep it quiet. Looking for one whale to get this going. If not I will move on to plan B August 1.
