I was looking for AA batteries that would never cause leakage problems on CPU boards, regardless of how often they were changed. One of my machines had a 6114/NVRAM memory mod on the CPU board to remove the battery altogether, but I never got around to updating the other machines. So, for anyone with that still has AA batteries mounted on CPU boards, it may be worth looking at these batteries, $7 for a dozen thru amazon, which are advertised as "Protection Comes First — We combine a double layer internal structure housed within a stainless steel cover so that Voniko's AA batteries are 100% leakproof. Avoid short circuits, mixing and matching old batteries with new ones." I had them in my older WMS and Stern machines, and now in everything, including TV and cable remotes. They just don't leak and they have a fresh shelf life of 10-years.
