The Pinball Hall of Fame would look like that if it got rid of the vids and only kept their EM pins.
Great pictures. I'm amazed at how bad of shape some of the games look to be in. Some of them look like they are 50 years old in the pictures. The cabinets are faded, scratched, dinged up and rusty metal parts. I would expect them to look in better shape for the age of the photos. I'm not complaining, just an observation. They are great pictures and I'm glad you posted them. I may print some of them off and hang them on my wall. Thanks for posting!
They were tools to make money. They made money as long as they worked, had a clean playfield, screen or viewing area and that the lamps properly lit up. Cabinet and trim was not too important. This was a time when flourescent colors were not common or even available for most printing/painting processes.
Great pictures, thanks for posting. Makes me feel really old though. Saw the classic car outside and wood rails and figured the pictures were from the 50's. But the article says they are from 1968 when I was 5 years old. By the time I was a teenager wood rails were long gone and video games were starting to take over. Maybe the article is wrong about the year or that arcade was stuck somewhat in time - or I'm in denial about being so friggin old.
