Shapeways had issues with their website a week ago and now offering 10% across the whole store for everyone.

This is the message I got so enjoy while you can as not often they offer 10% off plastic, metal - all materials and off anyone's parts as normally restricted to just your own designed parts

"As a thank you for being so understanding with us and patient during what proved to be a challenging time at Shapeways, I am offering everyone 10% off of their next Shapeways order. Just use code THANKYOU10 at checkout, and feel free to share this code with your customers, family, and friends. It's valid on any order through next Monday, April 20th."

The repository for pinball parts sure is starting to grow. Kudos to everyone who added to it

Those Dalek posts are very cool.

That's some cool stuff. Can someone please replicate the offset pcb standoffs used in system 11s?

send me a sketch and I can make it happen

since it is available it would not be worth replicating and the Shapeways price would be 10 times more if you did a branch or 6 or 8 so not worth it. Singularly from shape ways would be $3.50 to $4.00 each as just the handling fee per part is $2.50.

Nino at RTBB would be able to look after you, as RTBB have reasonable postage and the AUD is down so good time to buy.

Good advice I'll give it a try.

Some impossible to find stuff there. Cool site. I really like the 80s Stern coin chute plates and the globe light shrouds. Would like to see what that AC/DC stage is all about.

AC/DC Stage is for PinballMikeD's lcd mod based on AC/DC's 2014's real stage

Mike asked me to design a visual enhancement for his mod, therefore the parts are not useable unless you have one of his mods.

Very cool. Is that the colored sandstone or plastic?

    #12 8 years ago

all plastic (gears and made from a metal flake grey plastic), sandstone is good for a multicoloured part but would never use it in a pinball environment as would shatter if hit

I like the idea of the plastic posts for stainless steel guide rails, but I was not able to find a source for 7/8" wide stainless steel strips. Can anyone help?

I wanted to design the posts so they were at a typical finish height once installed so people could get their playfield design right and not have to modify the height later on. I have a dxf file here

    http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:614197/#files

so you can get some SS ball guides laser cut

here is a good thread for custom builds if you haven't seen it yet
