I'm working on a Williams EM game and noticed the 10 and 25 cent relays are shock mounted with rubber grommets.
I don't know if this is common with Williams games as I've never had to remove one before and never took notice.
Why are they mounted this way?

To prevent players from banging and whacking under the cabinet to get free games? They are on the motor board, right? Other than that I got nothin'.

Yes - they are on the motor board.
That seems to be as good a reason as any.
