    Having trouble finding a .002uf 1k cap. Great Plains has a .0022uf. will this work?

    I think it will work, those are usually filters.

    That replacement will be fine. Z5U has a big tolerance range, I think it is usually +80% to -20% that varies with temperature.

    It will work just fine. The tolerance for capacitors is around 20% on a good day and like Billc479 indicated, this is a filtering capacitor on the supply voltage to a voltage regulator (best guess from what I see)
